MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,400 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 638 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 34 at SLVR Viru Viru International Airport. The aircraft, a TBM 850, took off with a takeoff distance of 506 meters, which was 14% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 103 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 270 degrees, resulting in a negligible crosswind and headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb 2 miles northwest of SLVR Viru Viru International Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 2,218 feet above sea level to 13,006 feet above sea level, an increase of 10,789 feet in just 7 minutes, covering a distance of 40 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 11 miles south of Villa Yapacani and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 30 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another enroute climb 19 miles south of SLBB Bulo Bulo Airport, climbing from 13,026 feet above sea level to 15,144 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,118 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 46 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 11 miles north of Totora and lasted for 7 minutes, covering 32 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent 2 miles northeast of Punata. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 16,100 feet above sea level to 9,383 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,718 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 18 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32 at SLCB Jorge Wilsterman International Airport was made from the southeast, heading 308.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,015 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 32, which had a length of 3,400 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 71 knots.
The touchdown point was 204 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 66 knots. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -112 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.0 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 270 degrees, resulting in a negligible crosswind and headwind.
The total landing distance was 900 meters, which was 26% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. Taxiing to the parking from the runway took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 172 nautical miles, and the flight used 132 kilograms of fuel.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at SLCB Jorge Wilsterman International Airport, achieving a score of 95.4%. The final approach was conducted from the southeast, heading 308.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,015 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 32, which has a length of 3,400 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 71 knots. The touchdown point was 204 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 66 knots was a bit faster than desired, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -112 feet per minute (fpm).
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.0 meters, which may have contributed to the deviation from the touchdown zone. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 1 knot, indicating minimal wind impact on the landing.
The total landing distance was 900 meters, which accounts for 26% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating a good approach and landing performance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control and stability during the landing roll.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters. The pilot's skills and the aircraft's performance were satisfactory, and the landing was completed safely.
