Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,630 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,630 m of the 3,371 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 479 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 17L at Calgary International Airport (CYYC), with a takeoff distance of 1,981 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 155 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Calgary, it encountered local weather conditions of 5°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot from a direction of 197°. The crosswind was negligible, but there was a headwind of 1 knot. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile south east of the airport and took the aircraft from an altitude of 4,569 feet above sea level to 36,011 feet above sea level, an increase of 31,441 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 4 miles east of Jaffray, British Columbia, and lasted for 16 minutes, covering a distance of 408 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 36,259 feet above sea level to 38,296 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,037 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 29 nautical miles. The climb started 15 miles south of Prineville Airport in Oregon, United States.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 8 miles south of Table Rock Airport in Oregon and lasted for 7 minutes, covering a distance of 206 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent, which started 2 miles south west of Orland, California, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 38,220 feet above sea level to 1,237 feet above sea level, a decrease of 36,983 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 129 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 28L at San Francisco International Airport (KSFO) was made from the south east, with a heading of 298.0° at an altitude of 1,215 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The aircraft landed on the runway, which had a length of 3,371 meters, and had a good threshold height. The threshold speed was also good at 135 knots.
The touchdown point was 63 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 128 knots. However, the touchdown rate was good at -174 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 13°C temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots from a direction of 90°, with a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,549 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, a process that took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 893 nautical miles, and the flight took 67 minutes, using a total of 5,387 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 28L at San Francisco International Airport (KSFO) with a score of 99.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 298.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,215 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a critical aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was within the acceptable range at 135 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 128 knots was slightly faster than the ideal speed, which could have resulted in a longer landing distance. The touchdown rate of -174 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good, indicating a controlled descent.
The landing distance of 1,549 meters was 46% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot maintained a stable and aligned approach to the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 13°C and a gentle wind of 2 knots at 90°, did not pose any significant challenges to the landing.
The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, and the tailwind component was 2 knots, which is relatively small and should not have affected the landing significantly. Overall, the pilot demonstrated excellent skills and control during the landing, resulting in a successful touchdown and a short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating a smooth and controlled deceleration of the aircraft after touchdown.
