MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,530 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,530 m of the 2,795 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 590 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 13 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777F, then departed from runway 30R at Dubai International Airport (OMDB). The takeoff distance was 1,601 meters, which accounted for 45% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 188 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 310 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile northwest of OMDB. The climb took 20 minutes and covered a distance of 126 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,014 feet above sea level to 36,104 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,090 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began 45 miles north of Das Island Airport (OMAS). This phase of the flight lasted for 326 minutes and covered a distance of 2,378 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 1 mile northwest of Gaimersheim, Germany. The descent took 27 minutes and covered a distance of 129 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 36,451 feet above sea level to 1,636 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,815 feet.
The final approach to runway 25R at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) was made from the east, with a heading of 250.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,285 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 25R, which had a length of 2,795 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 147 knots.
The touchdown point was 180 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 139 knots, which was good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -285 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of -1 degree Celsius, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 199 degrees.
The total landing distance was 1,455 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, and the aircraft then began its taxiing period from the runway to the parking, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles.
In total, the flight covered a distance of 2,645 nautical miles and took 398 minutes to complete, using 52,153 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 777F aircraft successfully landed at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) on runway 25R, achieving a high score of 97.5%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,285 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating a stable and controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 147 knots, which is a minor deviation but still within acceptable limits. The touchdown point was located 180 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 139 knots was considered good, indicating a controlled and smooth touchdown. However, the touchdown rate of -285 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been slowed down more efficiently during the landing roll.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline during touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -1°C and a light wind of 2 knots from 199°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was also 1 knot, which had a negligible impact on the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,455 meters was 52% of the available runway length of 2,795 meters, which is a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability during the approach and landing phases.
