Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,652 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,652 m of the 3,056 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 527 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 12 at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJLJ). The takeoff distance was 934 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 168 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of -3°C, with no wind at all. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile southwest of Lahovce in Slovenia. The climb took 15 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 2,183 feet above sea level to 37,275 feet, an increase of 35,092 feet. The climb covered a distance of 91 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Litzelsdorf in Austria. This phase lasted for 104 minutes and covered a distance of 819 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 5 miles southeast of Vyaz'ma Airport in Russia. The descent took 16 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 36,978 feet to 7,504 feet, a decrease of 29,473 feet. The descent covered a distance of 97 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 7 miles east of Balabanovo in Russia. This phase lasted for only 2 minutes and covered a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 11 miles north of Vysokinichi Airport in Russia. The descent took 13 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 6,859 feet to 1,930 feet, a decrease of 4,929 feet. The descent covered a distance of 36 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 19 at Vnukovo International Airport (UUWW) was made from the northeast, with a heading of 204.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,269 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown point 111 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 129 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -94 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -11°C, with a wind of 2 knots at 200°. The crosswind was zero, and the headwind was 2 knots. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.2 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,572 meters, which accounted for 51% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,060 nautical miles, which was covered in 159 minutes. The aircraft used 16,828 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at Vnukovo International Airport (UUWW) on runway 19, achieving a high score of 99.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 204.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,269 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing was executed with precision, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 139 knots. The touchdown point was 111 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 129 knots was also within acceptable limits, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -94 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a high degree of precision and control.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -11°C and a wind speed of 2 knots from a direction of 200°. The crosswind component was negligible, with a headwind of 2 knots. These conditions were favorable for the landing, allowing the aircraft to maintain a stable approach and touchdown.
The total landing distance of 1,572 meters was 51% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, allowing the aircraft to come to a stop without any deviation from the centerline.
Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating a high degree of precision and control throughout the approach and touchdown phases. The crew's skills and experience were evident in the smooth and controlled execution of the landing, resulting in a high score of 99.2%.
