MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,737 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 482 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 28R at KBIL Billings Logan International Airport. The takeoff distance was 827 meters, which accounted for 26% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 1 knot from a direction of 269 degrees. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and a headwind of 1 knot. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile west of KBIL Billings Logan International Airport, rising from an altitude of 4,704 feet above sea level to 6,874 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,170 feet, in 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 2 miles west of 35MT Haynes Ranch Airport and lasted for 45 minutes, covering a distance of 198 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 4 miles south of 20MT Prevost Airport Lambert, descending from 6,975 feet above sea level to 3,240 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,735 feet, in 6 minutes and covering 16 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 01 at KSDY Sidney - Richland Regional Airport was made from the south, with the aircraft heading 24.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,248 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 01, which had a length of 1,737 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was too high at 81 knots.
The touchdown point was 48 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 72 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was good at -193 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.2 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 3 knots from a direction of 220 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 650 meters, which accounted for 37% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 227 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 62 minutes. The aircraft used 3 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at KSDY Sidney - Richland Regional Airport, achieving a score of 98.5%. The final approach was conducted from the south, heading 24.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,248 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 01, which has a length of 1,737 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly too high at 81 knots. The touchdown point was 48 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed of 72 knots was a bit faster than ideal. However, the touchdown rate of -193 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 3.2 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots from 220°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the tailwind component was 3 knots.
The total landing distance of 650 meters was 37% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating good control and stability during the landing phase. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft meeting most of the desired parameters.
