MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Departure
Roll the wings level with aileron and hold bank within limits as you establish the climb.
What happened: Bank increased to 2.7° during the initial climb, and wings stayed over-banked at 1.6° into the next climb segment.
Watch for: Attitude indicator bank angle, aiming to keep it near wings-level
Arrival
Make one smooth continuous pitch input through the flare rather than chasing the runway with the elevator.
What happened: The flare was pumped, with pitch reversing direction several times on the way down instead of one smooth input.
Watch for: Watch the pitch attitude trend through the flare, aiming for a single steady rise through 4.5° with no reversals.

Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,773 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,773 m of the 2,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,031 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at RJFK Kagoshima Airport took approximately 6 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its departure roll on runway 34, utilizing 476 meters, or 16% of the runway, to achieve liftoff at a speed of 79 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 14 knots from a direction of 339 degrees, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and a 14-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from RJFK Kagoshima Airport, it began its enroute climb 1 mile northwest of the airport, rising from an initial altitude of 1,922 feet above sea level to 10,766 feet above sea level, an increase of 8,845 feet, over a distance of 19 nautical miles in 9 minutes. The enroute level cruise phase commenced 3 miles northwest of Okuchi-shinohara, lasting 50 minutes and covering 167 nautical miles. Subsequently, the aircraft entered its enroute descent phase 5 miles southwest of Kure, Hiroshima-ken, Japan, descending from 11,019 feet above sea level to 2,412 feet above sea level, a decrease of 8,607 feet, over a distance of 27 nautical miles in 10 minutes.
The final approach to runway 10 at RJOA Hiroshima Airport was initiated from the west, with the aircraft flying at a heading of 89.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,332 feet above ground level. The landing was completed on runway 10, which has a length of 2,984 meters. The threshold height at 57 feet above ground level was slightly above the target, while the threshold speed was excessively high at 121 knots. The touchdown point was 604 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 79 knots, which was too fast. The touchdown rate was excellent at -64 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.6 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.8 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,682 meters, or 56% of the runway. The total flight distance was 221 nautical miles, taking 78 minutes, and the aircraft used 277 kilograms of fuel.
The final approach to runway 10 at RJOA Hiroshima Airport was initiated from the west, with the aircraft heading 89.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,332 feet above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with the threshold height at 57 feet above ground level being slightly above the target. However, the threshold speed of 121 knots was excessively high, indicating a potential for a long landing.
As the aircraft touched down 604 meters beyond the touchdown zone, the touchdown speed of 79 knots was too fast, which may have contributed to the slightly misaligned runway touchdown position, 8.6 meters off the centreline. The touchdown rate of -64 feet per minute was excellent, indicating a controlled descent. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 14°C and a 12-knot headwind from 360°, did not significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,682 meters was 56% of the runway length, indicating a relatively long landing. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned, 7.8 meters off the centreline. Overall, the landing performance scored 77.6%, with room for improvement in terms of threshold speed and touchdown speed.
