Departure
Make small rudder corrections against a point at the far end to hold the centreline.
What happened: During the ground roll you drifted 7.4 m off the runway centreline.
Watch for: Watch runway alignment against the centreline, correcting with small rudder inputs.

Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: no landing flap set and speed above the reference speed.
At the 500 ft gate: speed above the reference speed.

Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,759 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 252 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 7 minutes and covered approximately 1 nautical mile. The departure roll was initiated on runway 10L at the SBGR André Franco Montoro International Airport. During takeoff, the aircraft reached a liftoff speed of 166 knots, covering a distance of 2,013 meters, which was 57% of the available runway length.
Upon departure, the aircraft faced a local weather condition characterized by a temperature of 21 °C, with winds of 12 knots at a 119-degree direction. This resulted in a moderate crosswind speed of 9 knots and a headwind of 8 knots. As the aircraft began its enroute climb, it ascended from 3,524 feet above sea level to 37,263 feet, an increase of 33,739 feet, over a distance of 96 nautical miles, within 22 minutes.
The airplane then transitioned into level cruise, commencing at a point 7 miles southwest of the SSRW Fazenda J Campos Airport Porangaba. This segment lasted for 36 minutes and covered a distance of 236 nautical miles. Following the cruise, the aircraft started its enroute descent from 36,453 feet above sea level to 3,763 feet, a decrease of 32,690 feet, over a distance of 73 nautical miles, within 14 minutes.
The final approach to runway 15 at the SBCA Coronel Adalberto Mendes da Silva Airport was initiated from the northwest, with a heading of 136.0 degrees, 4 nautical miles from the threshold, and 1,275 feet above ground level. Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with a touchdown distance of 255 meters, touchdown speed of 178 knots, and touchdown rate of -621 feet per minute, which was considered heavy. The runway touchdown alignment and runway rollout alignment were both deemed very good.
The local weather conditions during the landing phase were similar to those during departure, with a temperature of 21 °C, and winds of 8 knots at a 49-degree direction, resulting in a crosswind speed of 8 knots and a headwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance covered 73% of the available runway length, which was 1,759 meters in length. The aircraft then taxiied to the parking area, covering approximately 1 nautical mile in 1 minute.
The total flight distance was 413 nautical miles, with a flight time of 82 minutes, and the aircraft consumed 3,474 kilograms of fuel throughout the journey.
The Airbus A320 safely landed on runway 15 at SBCA Coronel Adalberto Mendes da Silva Airport. During the final approach, the aircraft was flying from the north-west, heading 136.0° at 4 nautical miles altitude. At an altitude of 1,275 feet above the ground, the plane successfully completed the landing, despite experiencing a few issues.
The threshold speed at 184 knots was excessively high, which could have contributed to a more challenging landing experience. Additionally, the touchdown speed of 178 knots was also considered excessively fast. Although the touchdown distance of 255 meters was within acceptable limits, the touchdown rate of -621 feet per minute was deemed heavy, which may have caused the aircraft to pitch down more during the landing sequence.
The good threshold height allowed the plane to touch down relatively close to the runway's beginning, resulting in a relatively short touchdown distance compared to the overall landing distance. However, the local weather conditions and runway characteristics played a major role in the outcome.
The crosswind of 8 knots and headwind of 1 knot appeared to have a minimal impact on the landing, with the runway touchdown alignment and rollout alignment being very good. This indicates that the pilots effectively managed the aircraft to ensure a stable and controlled descent. The successful landing also highlights the capabilities of the Airbus A320, as it was able to navigate through the challenging environment and deliver a safe touchdown.
