Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 7,000 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,576 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-700 taxied from the parking area to runway 01L at KMCI Kansas City International Airport in 8 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 01L, the aircraft used 4,719 ft of runway, representing 44 % of the available length, and lifted off at 143 kt; ambient temperature was 72 °F with wind 4 kt from 100°, a 4 kt cross-wind and no head-wind.
Climb commenced approximately 1 mile north of KMCI, with the airplane accelerating from 1,942 ft asl to 37,000 ft asl, an altitude gain of 35,058 ft achieved in 17 minutes while covering 120 nm.
The first cruise segment began about 6 miles northwest of Bolivar, Missouri, and lasted 49 minutes, during which the aircraft flew 405 nm at level altitude.
Descent was initiated roughly 8 miles southeast of KMEI Key Field / Meridian Regional Airport, descending from 37,002 ft asl to 1,708 ft asl, a loss of 35,294 ft over 20 minutes and a distance of 117 nm.
A second level cruise started 2 miles southeast of Molino, Florida, lasting 4 minutes and covering 10 nm before the final approach.
The final approach to runway 17 at KPNS Pensacola International Airport was flown from the north on a heading of 167.0° at 4 nm and 1,248 ft agl; local weather reported a temperature of 84 °F, wind 5 kt from 280°, a 4 kt cross-wind and a 2 kt tail-wind.
Landing on runway 17 was executed with a threshold speed of 139 kt, slightly above target, and the aircraft touched down 230 ft beyond the touchdown zone at 136 kt; the touchdown rate was smooth at minus 116 fpm and alignment was perfect.
Runway rollout covered 4,007 ft, representing 57 % of the 7,000-ft runway, and alignment during rollout was very good.
After exiting the runway, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 5 minutes, traveling less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 659 nm, required 107 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 8,899 lb of fuel.
The Boeing 737-700 completed a final approach to runway 17 at KPNS Pensacola International Airport from the north, tracking a heading of 167.0° at 4 nm and 1,248 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits, and the aircraft entered the final segment in a temperature of 84 °F with wind 5 kt from 280°, a 4 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt tail-wind component.
The aircraft crossed the runway threshold on a runway 7,000 ft long with good threshold height. Threshold speed was slightly above target at 139 kt.
Touchdown occurred 230 ft beyond the touchdown zone. Touchdown speed was 136 kt and the touchdown rate was smooth at minus 116 fpm. Runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
Total landing distance was 4,007 ft, representing 57 % of the runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
With a score of 99.4 % the landing was excellent; reducing the threshold speed to the target value will help place the touchdown point nearer the designated zone and further optimise runway usage.
