Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,345 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 479 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at ENGM Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, then departed from runway 19L, with a takeoff distance of 1,220 meters, which is 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 162 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 3°C temperature and a wind speed of 9 knots at 210°. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the headwind was 8 knots. The enroute climb started 2 miles northwest of Jessheim, Norway, and the aircraft climbed from 1,569 feet above sea level to 35,266 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,696 feet in 28 minutes, covering a distance of 181 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 31 miles south of Skalevik, Norway, and lasted 49 minutes, covering a distance of 333 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 43 miles east of Caister-on-Sea, England, and descended from 35,557 feet above sea level to 8,935 feet above sea level, a decrease of 26,622 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 117 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 1 mile west of Ingatestone, England, and lasted 17 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent overhead Chigwell, England, and descended from 8,927 feet above sea level to 7,072 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,855 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 1 mile north of Crouch End, England, and lasted 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent overhead Belsize Park, England, and descended from 6,928 feet above sea level to 3,907 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,020 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 2 miles southeast of Woodford Green, England, and lasted 4 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent overhead Battersea, England, and descended from 3,607 feet above sea level to 1,367 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,240 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport was from the east, heading 270.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,274 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 27L, which has a length of 3,345 meters, was successful, with a touchdown point 60 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 137 knots, which was a little fast, and the touchdown rate was fair at -267 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 11°C temperature and a wind speed of 32 knots at 200°, with a crosswind of 30 knots and a headwind of 11 knots. The total landing distance was 1,383 meters, which is 41% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking from the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 686 nautical miles, and the
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed on runway 27L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport, achieving a score of 97.9%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 270.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,274 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 3,345 meters, with a good threshold height.
The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 140 knots, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal landing conditions. However, the touchdown point was 60 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 137 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -267 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.3 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the crosswind conditions. The local weather conditions at the time of landing included a temperature of 11°C, wind speed of 32 knots at 200°, resulting in a crosswind of 30 knots and a headwind of 11 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,383 meters was 41% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the landing roll.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 97.9%. However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing conditions, including a slightly fast touchdown speed and a slightly misaligned runway touchdown position.
