Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,747 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,747 m of the 3,075 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 651 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 04L at EFHK Helsinki Vantaa Airport. The takeoff distance was 804 meters, which accounted for 27% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 162 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 0°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at a direction of 289°. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile north of EFHK Helsinki Vantaa Airport and reaching an altitude of 38,405 feet above sea level. The climb was a significant one, with an increase of 37,165 feet in just 14 minutes, covering a distance of 91 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 92 minutes and covered a distance of 703 nautical miles. This phase of the flight took place 25 miles southwest of Hanko, Finland. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 2 miles west of Lelystad, Netherlands, and descending from 38,186 feet to 1,004 feet above sea level. This descent took 23 minutes and covered a distance of 105 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 07L at EBBR Brussels Airport was made from the southwest, with a heading of 70.0° at an altitude of 860 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 07L, which had a length of 3,075 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 140 knots.
The touchdown point was 219 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 132 knots. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -215 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 6°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at a direction of 120°. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,650 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 908 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 141 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 15,002 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at Brussels Airport (EBBR) on runway 07L, achieving a score of 97.2%. The final approach was initiated from the southwest, heading 70.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 860 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a threshold height that was considered good. The threshold speed was also satisfactory at 140 knots. However, the touchdown point was located 219 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating that the aircraft landed slightly further down the runway than intended. The touchdown speed of 132 knots was slightly faster than desired, but the touchdown rate of -215 feet per minute (fpm) was deemed fair.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 6°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots from a direction of 120°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was also 2 knots. These conditions were favorable for the landing, allowing the aircraft to maintain a perfect runway touchdown alignment.
The total landing distance of 1,650 meters was 54% of the available runway length of 3,075 meters. This indicates that the aircraft had sufficient runway remaining for a safe stop. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 97.2%. The minor deviations from the desired touchdown point and speed were not significant enough to impact the overall outcome of the landing.
