MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,739 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 388 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-700 began with a 5-minute taxi from the parking area to runway 21L at LGAV Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. The departure roll covered 1,126 meters of the runway, which was 33% of its total length. The liftoff speed was 144 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 21°C with a 6-knot wind coming from 200°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and a 6-knot headwind.
During the enroute climb, the aircraft ascended from 1,300 feet above sea level to 39,710 feet, covering a total of 191 nautical miles in 35 minutes. The enroute level cruise phase began 5 miles northeast of Kilkis, lasting 129 minutes and covering 961 nautical miles. The following enroute descent took the plane from 40,107 feet above sea level to 2,429 feet, covering 122 nautical miles in 18 minutes. A brief second level cruise segment lasted 3 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 06 at EEEI Ämari Air Base commenced from the southwest at a heading of 70.0°, 4 nautical miles away and at an altitude of 1,256 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 06 was successful, with a good threshold height and speed. The touchdown distance was 387 meters, with a slightly fast touchdown speed of 134 knots. The touchdown rate was smooth at -103 feet per minute, but the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.4 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 925 meters, which was 34% of the total runway length. The runway rollout alignment after landing was considered very good.
Lastly, the taxi back to the parking area from the runway took 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance for this journey was 1,291 nautical miles, taking 191 minutes to complete. The aircraft consumed 7,724 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
