MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,221 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,221 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 277 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KJAX Jacksonville International Airport took less than a minute, covering a short distance of less than one nautical mile. The aircraft then began its departure roll on runway 08, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 83 kt. The takeoff distance of 544 meters accounted for just 18% of the available runway length. Local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 16 °C, with a wind of 9 kt at 90 °, resulting in a 3 kt crosswind and an 8 kt headwind.
The enroute climb phase commenced overhead KJAX, with the aircraft ascending from 1,126 ft asl to 3,002 ft asl, a gain of 1,877 ft in just 1 minute, while covering a distance of 2 nm. The climb was followed by a level cruise phase, which started overhead FL20 and lasted for 12 minutes, covering a distance of 30 nm. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 5 miles east of Ponte Vedra Beach, and descended from 2,762 ft asl to 1,902 ft asl, a decrease of 859 ft in 2 minutes, while covering 5 nm. The final approach to runway 32 at KCRG Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport was initiated from the southeast, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 315.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,268 ft agl.
The initial approach was aborted with a go-around at 614 ft agl, followed by a second go-around at 851 ft agl. The aircraft eventually landed on runway 32, with a touchdown distance of 276 m, well within the available runway length of 1,220 m. The touchdown speed of 66 kt was good, and the touchdown rate of -149 fpm was smooth. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. The total landing distance of 528 m accounted for 43% of the available runway length. The total flight distance was 120 nm, taking 52 minutes, and the aircraft used 12 kg of fuel.
The aircraft touched down smoothly on runway 32 at KCRG Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport, with a threshold height that was well within acceptable limits. The approach quality was excellent, with a heading of 315.0° from the south east at 4 nm and 1,268 ft above ground level. The threshold speed of 78 kt was significantly above the target, indicating a high degree of control and precision during the approach.
As the aircraft made contact with the runway, the touchdown characteristics were good, with a speed of 66 kt and a smooth descent rate of -149 fpm. The touchdown distance of 276 m was also within acceptable limits, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 20 °C and a wind of 3 kt at 224°, contributed to a stable and predictable approach.
The rollout phase was equally impressive, with the aircraft maintaining perfect centerline alignment as it decelerated. The total landing distance of 528 m was 43% of the runway length, indicating a high degree of control and precision during the final stages of the approach. Overall, the landing was scored at 99.6%, reflecting the high level of skill and precision demonstrated by the pilot.
