MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,526 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 259 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.

The aircraft landed on the runway, with a
The aircraft, Black Square Starship N45FL, successfully landed at KAMG Bacon County Airport, showcasing a high level of proficiency in its flight operations. The final approach to runway 34 was initiated from the southeast, with a heading of 331.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,355 feet above ground level.
The aircraft's performance during the landing was impressive, with a threshold speed that was slightly below the target at 98 knots. This indicates that the pilot was able to maintain control and precision throughout the approach, even when deviating slightly from the ideal speed. The touchdown distance of 259 meters was also good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to navigate the aircraft to a safe and controlled landing.
The touchdown speed of 92 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -207 feet per minute was fair. While not exceptional, this rate still indicates a relatively smooth and controlled landing. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot was able to maintain a stable and consistent approach path.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 32°C, which may have presented some challenges for the pilot. However, the aircraft's performance and the pilot's skills were able to overcome these conditions, resulting in a successful landing.
The total landing distance of 909 meters was 60% of the runway length, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the post-landing phase.
Overall, the landing of Black Square Starship N45FL at KAMG Bacon County Airport was a testament to the pilot's skill and the aircraft's performance. The high score of 99.8% reflects the precision and control demonstrated throughout the approach and landing phases.
