Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,302 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,302 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 228 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a PC-12, then departed from runway 14 at KECS Mondell Field, a small airfield in Wyoming, United States. The takeoff distance was 603 meters, which accounted for 37% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 93 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -6°C and a wind speed of 0 knots from 225°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airfield, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead KECS Mondell Field Newcastle. The climb took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 11 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 4,584 feet above sea level to 11,801 feet above sea level, an increase of 7,217 feet. The enroute level cruise then began 8 miles south east of Upton, Wyoming, and lasted for 25 minutes, covering a distance of 516 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 8 miles north east of Claresholm, Alberta, Canada, and took 6 minutes to complete, during which the aircraft descended from 11,330 feet above sea level to 4,690 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,640 feet. The descent covered a distance of 23 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 25 at CAJ7 Cayley A J Flying Ranch Airport was made from the east, heading 248.0°, at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,234 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 25 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 227 meters, which was 47% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 79 knots, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -54 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.2 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions during the landing were characterized by a temperature of -6°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from 114°, with a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 607 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 555 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 41 minutes. The aircraft used 655 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The PC-12 aircraft successfully landed at CAJ7 Cayley A J Flying Ranch Airport, achieving a score of 99.4%. The final approach to runway 25 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 248.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,234 feet above ground level.
The landing was executed with precision, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 86 knots. The touchdown distance was also within acceptable limits at 227 meters, and the touchdown speed of 79 knots was well within the recommended range. The most notable aspect of the landing was the excellent touchdown rate of -54 feet per minute, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, there was a slight deviation from the ideal landing, as the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.2 meters from the centerline. This minor deviation may have been due to the crosswind and tailwind conditions present at the time of landing. The local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -6°C and winds of 7 knots at 114°, resulting in a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 6 knots.
Despite the minor deviation, the total landing distance of 607 meters was only 47% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft throughout the landing process. Overall, the landing was a success, with the pilot demonstrating excellent skills and control in challenging weather conditions.
