MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,536 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,536 m of the 3,026 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 533 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied from the parking area to runway 08R at EDDM Munich Airport in 4 minutes, covering 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 08R, the takeoff distance measured 970 m, which is 24 % of the runway length, and the aircraft lifted off at 146 kt. Local temperature at the time was 12 °C.
Climb commenced overhead EDDM Munich Airport, ascending from 2,388 ft asl to 41,007 ft asl - an increase of 38,618 ft - over 22 minutes while covering 179 nm.
The first cruise segment began overhead Horni Krupa in the Czech Republic and lasted 18 minutes, during which 152 nm were flown.
Descent began 1 mile north of Klonowa in Poland, descending from 40,954 ft asl to 4,355 ft asl - a loss of 36,598 ft - in 22 minutes and covering 135 nm.
A brief cruise followed 2 miles east of Chynow, lasting 2 minutes and spanning 5 nm.
The second descent started 1 mile north of Czaplinek, dropping from 3,598 ft asl to 1,670 ft asl - a decrease of 1,927 ft - in 3 minutes while covering 8 nm.
Final approach to runway 33 at EPWA Warsaw Chopin Airport was executed from the southeast, on a heading of 332.0° at 4 nm and 1,309 ft agl.
Landing on runway 33, which is 3,026 m long, occurred with a threshold speed of 141 kt. Touchdown was recorded 117 m beyond the touchdown zone at 133 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 158 fpm and perfect runway-alignment. Ambient temperature was 11 °C, wind 5 kt from 260°, including a 4 kt crosswind and a 1 kt headwind.
The rollout distance measured 1,455 m, representing 48 % of the runway, and runway-rollout alignment was very good.
The aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 487 nm, took 76 minutes, and used 7,619 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 777-200ER on a final approach to runway 33 at EPWA Warsaw Chopin Airport maintained a heading of 332.0° from the south-east, intercepting the glide path at 4 nm and 1,309 ft agl. Local conditions were 11 °C with wind from 260° at 5 kt, including a 4 kt crosswind component and a 1 kt headwind. The aircraft’s overall landing score was 98.7 %.
At threshold the height was good and the aircraft crossed the threshold at a speed of 141 kt, which was well above the target speed. The flare commenced from the appropriate height, transitioning to the touchdown attitude.
Touchdown occurred 117 m beyond the designated touchdown zone with a speed of 133 kt, noted as a little fast. The vertical speed at touchdown was -158 fpm, rated as good, and the aircraft’s alignment on the runway was perfect.
The rollout covered a total distance of 1,455 m, representing 48 % of the 3,026 m runway, and the alignment during rollout was very good.
To refine future performances, aim to achieve the target threshold speed rather than the higher 141 kt observed, and reduce the touchdown speed slightly below the 133 kt recorded to keep the touchdown point within the intended zone. Maintaining these targets will help preserve the high overall score.
