Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,628 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,628 m of the 2,644 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 470 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 23 at Houari Boumediene Airport (DAAG) in Algiers, Algeria. The takeoff distance was 855 meters, which is 25% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 164 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 6°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 180°. The crosswind component was 2 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead DAAG airport and ascending from 1,065 feet above sea level to 35,234 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,169 feet in 14 minutes and covering a distance of 76 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 2 miles northwest of El Kseur, Algeria, and lasting 21 minutes, covering a distance of 177 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 5 miles southeast of El Kala, Algeria, and descending from 34,698 feet above sea level to 5,490 feet above sea level, a decrease of 29,208 feet in 16 minutes and covering a distance of 94 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 4 miles west of Mennzel Bou Zelfa, Tunisia, and lasting 4 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Mennzel Bou Zelfa, and descending from 4,789 feet above sea level to 1,307 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,482 feet in 5 minutes and covering a distance of 16 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 29 at Tunis Carthage International Airport (DTTA) was made from the east, heading 293.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,278 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown point 57 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 135 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was -169 feet per minute, which was also good. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 239°. The crosswind component was 1 knot, while the headwind component was 1 knot. The total landing distance was 1,551 meters, which is 59% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 379 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 77 minutes. The aircraft used 8,875 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at DTTA Tunis Carthage International Airport, showcasing exceptional piloting skills and adherence to standard operating procedures. The final approach to runway 29 was executed from the east, with the aircraft heading 293.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,278 feet above ground level.
The landing was characterized by a high degree of precision, with a score of 99.8%. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was properly configured for landing. The threshold speed of 145 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilots' ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 57 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. However, the touchdown speed of 135 knots was good, and the touchdown rate of -169 feet per minute was also within the acceptable range. This suggests that the pilots were able to smoothly transition the aircraft from the approach to the landing phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 239°. The crosswind and headwind components were both minimal, at 1 knot each, which further contributed to the smoothness of the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,551 meters was 59% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilots' ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase.
Overall, the landing of the Boeing 777-300 at DTTA Tunis Carthage International Airport was a textbook example of safe and efficient flight operations. The pilots' attention to detail and adherence to standard procedures ensured a smooth and controlled landing, despite the relatively short runway length.
