Departure
Start bringing the nose up as the speed reaches 61 kt, not after it.

A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,494 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 140 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone.
The rest of the report
The Cessna CT206G taxied to runway 27 at EGPN Dundee Airport and commenced the departure roll. The aircraft lifted off after a take-off run of 347 m, representing 25 % of the runway, and rotated at 74 kt. Ambient conditions were 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, no cross-wind and a 2 kt head-wind component.
Climb began over Invergowrie, with the airplane ascending from 916 ft asl to 1 004 ft asl, an altitude gain of 88 ft achieved in one minute while covering one nautical mile.
Level cruise was established one mile south of Invergowrie and persisted for four minutes, during which the aircraft travelled eight nautical miles.
During the final approach to runway 08 at EGQL Leuchars Station Airfield, the descent reduced altitude from 1 002 ft agl to 11 ft agl in 169 seconds, and the flight was recorded as having scored on the stabilisation gates.
The approach continued to runway 08 under the same weather of 15 °C and a 2 kt wind from 270°, with zero cross-wind and a 2 kt tail-wind component, positioning the aircraft for touchdown.
Landing on runway 08, which is 2 494 m long, featured a good threshold height and a threshold speed slightly above the target at 70 kt. Touchdown occurred 140 m down the runway at 62 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 73 fpm and perfect alignment.
In total, the flight covered 14 nm, took 7 minutes, and consumed 4 kg of fuel.
