Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,403 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 400 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Heraklion International Nikos Kazantzakis Airport, taking approximately 6 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 27, with the aircraft taking off after covering 68% of the 1,525-meter runway. The liftoff speed was 154 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time were characterized by a temperature of 20°C and a wind speed of 14 knots from a direction of 180°.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it began its enroute climb over Nea Alikarnassos, Crete, Greece. The climb from 1,049 feet above sea level to 29,720 feet above sea level took 15 minutes, covering a distance of 84 nautical miles. The aircraft then leveled off and began its enroute cruise, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered 6 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 3 miles east of Milos Airport, Milos Island, and took the aircraft from 29,718 feet above sea level to 3,164 feet above sea level, a decrease of 26,554 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 82 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another descent, this time from 2,929 feet above sea level to 1,594 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,335 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 21L at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport took place from the north-east, with the aircraft heading 217.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,305 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 21L, which was 3,403 meters long, was successful, with a touchdown distance of 399 meters and a touchdown speed of 131 knots. The touchdown rate was heavy at -615 feet per minute, but the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 13°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 230°. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the headwind was 7 knots. The total landing distance was 1,020 meters, which was 30% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, and the aircraft was able to taxi to the parking area in 5 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 187 nautical miles, and the flight took 50 minutes to complete. The aircraft used 2,024 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 21L at LGAV Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, achieving a high score of 95.4%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 217.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,305 feet above ground level (agl).
The final approach was executed smoothly, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a speed of 131 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed. The touchdown distance of 399 meters was also within the desired range, indicating a well-controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate was slightly heavy at -615 feet per minute (fpm), which may require some adjustments to the aircraft's configuration or the pilot's technique to achieve a more optimal rate.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 13°C and a gentle headwind of 7 knots at 230°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, which made the landing even more manageable. The runway length of 3,403 meters provided a comfortable margin for the aircraft to come to a stop, with the total landing distance of 1,020 meters accounting for only 30% of the runway.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, allowing the aircraft to come to a stop without any deviations from the centerline. Overall, the landing was executed flawlessly, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at the correct speed and distance, and rolling out smoothly to a stop.
