MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,668 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,668 m of the 2,692 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 353 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 16L at RJTT Tokyo Haneda International Airport. The takeoff distance was 40 meters, which is 1% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 206 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 16 knots at a direction of 10 degrees. The crosswind was 11 knots, while the tailwind was 13 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles southeast of the airport and reaching an altitude of 30,184 feet above sea level in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 61 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 21 miles east of Asahi, Japan, and lasted for 476 minutes, covering a distance of 3,436 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 29,893 feet to 33,171 feet above sea level in just 3 minutes, covering a distance of 27 nautical miles. The level cruise continued, starting at a new location and lasting for 136 minutes, covering a distance of 1,128 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 33,645 feet to 35,721 feet above sea level in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 30 nautical miles. The level cruise continued, starting 60 miles southeast of Mestersvig Airport in Brazil and lasting for 170 minutes, covering a distance of 1,446 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent, starting overhead Arques-la-Bataille in France and descending from 36,192 feet to 13,702 feet above sea level in 7 minutes, covering a distance of 50 nautical miles. The level cruise continued, starting overhead Serans and lasting for just 3 minutes, covering a distance of 21 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Civry-la-Foret and descending from 13,047 feet to 1,662 feet above sea level in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 34 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 09L at LFPG Charles de Gaulle International Airport was from the west, with a heading of 85.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,301 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 09L was successful, with a touchdown distance of 350 meters and a touchdown speed of 145 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -267 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.5 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were the same as at the time of departure.
The total landing distance was 1,580 meters, which is 59% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 25 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The total flight distance was 6,243 nautical miles, taking 857 minutes and using 114,075 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at LFPG Charles de Gaulle International Airport, achieving a high score of 97.6%. The final approach to runway 09L was conducted from the west, with a heading of 85.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,301 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 146 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 145 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have contributed to a fair touchdown rate of -267 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 4.5 meters, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 13°C and a wind speed of 16 knots from a direction of 10°. This resulted in a crosswind of 16 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. Despite these conditions, the aircraft was able to maintain a stable approach and landing.
The total landing distance was 1,580 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop quickly. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the landing roll.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop safely on the runway. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and runway alignment, which may be addressed in future training or operations.
