Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,432 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 461 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 12L at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, with a takeoff distance of 1,370 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots at 179 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile east of the airport and continued for 14 minutes. During this time, the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,719 feet above sea level to 35,970 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,251 feet. The enroute climb covered a distance of 107 nautical miles. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began 6 miles southwest of the Starbuck Municipal Airport and lasted for 34 minutes. During this time, the aircraft covered a distance of 699 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, which started 17 miles northwest of Bow Island, Alberta, Canada. The descent phase lasted for 13 minutes and covered a distance of 105 nautical miles. During this time, the aircraft descended from an altitude of 35,763 feet above sea level to 4,890 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,873 feet. The final approach to runway 29 at the Calgary International Airport was made from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 300.0 degrees at an altitude of 4 nautical miles and 1,324 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 29 was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 131 knots, which was slightly faster than the recommended threshold speed. The touchdown distance was 460 meters, which was within the acceptable range. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 6.7 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 8 knots at 271 degrees.
Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 920 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 73 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 6,642 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Calgary International Airport, achieving a score of 96.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 300.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,324 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with good threshold height, indicating that the aircraft was properly configured for landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was within the acceptable range at 137 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 131 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly longer rollout distance. The touchdown rate of -168 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
The aircraft landed on runway 29, which has a length of 2,432 meters. The touchdown distance of 460 meters was within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's descent and speed. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.7 meters from the centerline, which may have required the pilot to make adjustments during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 8 knots from 271°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots. These conditions may have presented some challenges for the pilot, but they did not appear to significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,243 meters was 51% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.7 meters from the centerline, which may have required the pilot to make some adjustments during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 96.6%. While there were some minor deviations from the desired touchdown speed and runway alignment, the pilot's skills and the aircraft's performance were able to compensate for these issues, resulting in a safe and controlled landing.
