Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,496 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 463 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 09 at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (EGGP). The takeoff distance was 1,155 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 149 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 17 knots at 130 degrees. The crosswind component was 12 knots, while the headwind component was also 12 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead Hale in the Borough of Halton, England. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,078 feet above sea level to 17,619 feet above sea level, an increase of 16,541 feet in just 8 minutes and covering a distance of 36 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles west of Dunford Bridge in Barnsley, England, and lasted for 4 minutes, covering a distance of 30 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time starting overhead Ranskill in Nottinghamshire, England. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 17,788 feet above sea level to 35,861 feet above sea level, an increase of 18,073 feet in 11 minutes and covering a distance of 87 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise then started 1 mile north-east of Cromer in Norfolk, England, and lasted for 220 minutes, covering a distance of 576 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 2 miles south of Kleszczewo in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 34,833 feet above sea level to 14,113 feet above sea level, a decrease of 20,720 feet in 9 minutes and covering a distance of 66 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise then started 2 miles east of Przedecz in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 1 mile east of Lanieta in the Wojewodztwo Lodzkie, Poland. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 13,903 feet above sea level to 1,631 feet above sea level, a decrease of 12,272 feet in 12 minutes and covering a distance of 45 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 08 at Modlin Airport (EPMO) was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 81.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,280 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 08, which had a length of 2,496 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 141 knots. The touchdown point was 50 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 134 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was good at -198 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -7 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 5 knots at 210 degrees. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,387 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at EPMO Modlin Airport, achieving a score of 99.8%. The final approach to runway 08 was conducted from the west, with a heading of 81.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,280 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 50 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly outside the ideal landing spot. However, the touchdown speed of 134 knots was a bit higher than the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have been able to make adjustments to achieve a smoother touchdown. The touchdown rate of -198 feet per minute was considered good, suggesting that the aircraft was able to absorb the impact of landing effectively.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot maintained a stable and controlled approach to the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -7°C and a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 210°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 3 knots, which may have contributed to the slightly higher touchdown speed.
The total landing distance of 1,387 meters was 56% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and was able to bring the aircraft to a stop safely.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the pilot achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft during the approach and landing phases.
