Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,656 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 608 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from KOMA Eppley Airfield, the Airbus A321 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 7 minutes and covered 4 nautical miles. As the aircraft lined up on runway 32L, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 10 °C, with a wind speed of 5 kt at 90°. The takeoff roll commenced, and the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 161 kt, utilizing 69% of the available runway length of 1,987 meters.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it began its ascent from 1,964 feet above sea level, eventually reaching 37,993 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 121 nautical miles. The enroute climb phase was followed by a level cruise, which started 5 miles southeast of Scotia, Nebraska, and lasted for 86 minutes, covering 546 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, reducing its altitude from 37,984 feet to 10,994 feet in 17 minutes, covering 102 nautical miles. The flight continued with multiple level cruise phases, including a brief 5-minute cruise from 2 miles east of RB36, before beginning its final descent.
The aircraft's final approach to runway 34R at KSLC Salt Lake City International Airport was initiated from the south, with a heading of 355.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,276 feet above ground level. The landing was executed smoothly, with a touchdown speed of 122 kt and a touchdown rate of -133 fpm. The touchdown point was 190 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,252 meters, utilizing 34% of the available runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 827 nautical miles, with a flight time of 145 minutes and a fuel consumption of 889 kg.
The final approach to runway 34R at KSLC Salt Lake City International Airport from the south was conducted with a heading of 355.0° at 4 nm and 1,276 ft above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a threshold height at 55 ft agl that was slightly above the target. The threshold speed of 130 kt was good, indicating a well-executed approach.
The aircraft touched down 190 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 122 kt that was within the acceptable range. The touchdown rate was smooth at -133 fpm, demonstrating a well-controlled descent. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 m from the centreline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 6 °C and wind at 6 kt from 19°, contributed to a relatively calm environment.
The total landing distance of 1,252 m was 34% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining a consistent path along the centreline. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 98.0%. The slight misalignment and above-target threshold height were the only notable deviations from optimal performance.
