Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
Side view — the last 1,240 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,240 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 51 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 36 at RPVO Ormoc Airport, a Cessna 152 aircraft taking to the skies. The takeoff distance was 262 meters, which is 21% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 70 knots, a relatively standard speed for a Cessna 152. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a gentle wind of 2 knots at 29 degrees.
As the aircraft entered the left-hand pattern, it demonstrated impressive agility, completing the pattern entry in less than 1 nautical mile in 21 seconds. The subsequent crosswind turn also showcased the aircraft's responsiveness, taking 31 seconds to complete the maneuver. The pilot then executed a pattern downwind turn, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile at an angle of 60.3 degrees to the runway. The downwind leg itself was 2 nautical miles long, taking 82 seconds to complete.
The base leg turn was another critical phase of the flight, with the aircraft covering 2 nautical miles at an angle of 43.0 degrees to the runway. The base leg itself was less than 1 nautical mile long, taking 39 seconds to complete. The final turn was a swift maneuver, taking 21 seconds to complete. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 36, descending from 245 feet above ground level (agl) at a heading of 4.0 degrees.
The landing itself was a textbook example of a well-executed approach. The aircraft touched down at a distance of 48 meters, with a speed of 40 knots and a rate of descent of -78 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot had maintained excellent control throughout the approach. The local weather conditions remained favorable, with a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a gentle wind of 2 knots at 24 degrees.
The flight was a relatively short one, covering a total distance of 6 nautical miles in 5 minutes. The aircraft used a mere 1 kilogram of fuel during the flight, a testament to its efficiency. Overall, the flight was a demonstration of the Cessna 152's capabilities, with the pilot executing a series of complex maneuvers with precision and control.
The Cessna 152 aircraft successfully landed at RPVO Ormoc Airport, achieving a high score of 97.4%. The final approach was conducted from the south, heading 4.0° at 1 nautical mile and 245 feet above ground level (agl). This indicates a precise and controlled descent into the airport.
Upon landing on runway 36, the aircraft demonstrated excellent control, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 45 knots, which was well below the target speed. This suggests that the pilot was cautious and aware of the need to avoid stalling the aircraft during the landing. The touchdown distance of 48 meters was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled landing.
The touchdown speed of 40 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -78 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, indicating a gentle and controlled touchdown. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and precision in navigating the aircraft onto the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 24°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 2 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing. Overall, the landing was a success, with the pilot demonstrating excellent control and precision in navigating the Cessna 152 onto the runway at RPVO Ormoc Airport.
