Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,495 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 514 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A321, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Brest Bretagne Airport, taking approximately 5 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 07R, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 668 meters, which accounted for 24% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 137 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 16°C temperature and winds of 11 knots at 50°. The crosswind was 4 knots, while the headwind was 10 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile south of Kersaint-Plabennec, France, and the aircraft ascended from 1,360 feet above sea level to 27,466 feet, an increase of 26,106 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 66 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 18 miles north of Lanmodez, France, and lasted for 11 minutes, covering 85 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 24 miles southwest of Niton, England, and descended from 27,590 feet to 6,047 feet, a decrease of 21,543 feet in 12 minutes, covering 69 nautical miles.
The aircraft entered another level cruise phase, starting 1 mile southwest of Plumpton, England, and lasting 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles. The descent phase began 2 miles northwest of Ringmer, England, and the aircraft descended from 6,010 feet to 4,143 feet, a decrease of 1,867 feet in 2 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting overhead Ansty, England, and lasting 7 minutes, covering 16 nautical miles. The descent phase began overhead Alfold Crossways, England, and the aircraft descended from 4,034 feet to 1,494 feet, a decrease of 2,540 feet in 4 minutes, covering 9 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 08R at London Gatwick Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 77.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,280 feet above ground level. The landing took place on the runway, with the touchdown point being 95 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 113 knots, which was good, while the touchdown rate was fair at -292 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.4 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 22°C temperature and winds of 8 knots at 180°, with a crosswind of 7 knots and a tailwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,419 meters, which accounted for 57% of the runway. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took approximately 6 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 263 nautical miles, taking 58 minutes, and the aircraft used 2,854 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed at London Gatwick Airport (EGKK) on runway 08R, achieving a score of 91.3%. The final approach was initiated from the west, heading 77.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,280 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 120 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 95 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 113 knots, which was considered good. However, the touchdown rate was only fair at -292 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 7.4 meters, indicating a minor deviation from the ideal landing spot.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 22°C, with a wind speed of 8 knots from a direction of 180°. This resulted in a crosswind of 7 knots and a tailwind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 1,419 meters, which accounted for 57% of the runway length. Unfortunately, the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned from the centerline by 17.1 meters, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal path during the rollout phase.
Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some minor deviations from the ideal performance, including the touchdown rate and runway rollout alignment. However, the aircraft's score of 91.3% suggests that the landing was still considered satisfactory.
