Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,495 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 513 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, a process that took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 06R, with a takeoff distance of 1,411 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 152 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, a wind speed of 11 knots at 40°, resulting in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 10 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile east of LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. The climb took 16 minutes and covered a distance of 75 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,025 feet above sea level to 31,845 feet above sea level, an increase of 30,820 feet. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began 55 miles south east of Tossa de Mar, Spain, and lasted for 82 minutes, covering a distance of 611 nautical miles.
The enroute descent phase started 42 miles south east of Lastovo, Croatia, and took 9 minutes to descend from 32,122 feet above sea level to 11,916 feet above sea level, a decrease of 20,206 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south west of Budva, Montenegro, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles. The final descent phase began 2 miles east of Petrovac na Moru, Montenegro, and took 12 minutes to descend from 11,915 feet above sea level to 236 feet above sea level, a decrease of 11,679 feet, covering a distance of 15 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 32 at LYTV Tivat Airport, flying from the south east at a heading of 318.0°, 1 nautical mile from the runway and 217 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 32, which had a length of 2,495 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 132 knots. The touchdown point was 97 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 118 knots, which was considered good. The touchdown rate was smooth at -139 feet per minute.
However, the runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 18.2 meters from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 19.5 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8°C, a wind speed of 4 knots at 61°, resulting in a crosswind of 4 knots and a tailwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance was 1,431 meters, which accounted for 57% of the runway.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 783 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 136 minutes. The aircraft used 5,127 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at LYTV Tivat Airport, achieving a score of 89.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south east, heading 318.0° at 1 nautical mile and 217 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a smooth touchdown on runway 32, which has a length of 2,495 meters.
The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 132 knots. The touchdown point was 97 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 118 knots, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown rate was smooth at -139 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a controlled descent.
However, there were some issues with the alignment of the aircraft during the landing. The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 18.2 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 19.5 meters from the centerline. This suggests that the pilot may have had some difficulty maintaining the correct alignment during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 4 knots at 61°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, and the tailwind component was 1 knot. Despite these conditions, the pilot was able to execute a successful landing, although the alignment issues may have contributed to some difficulties.
The total landing distance was 1,431 meters, which is 57% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. Overall, the landing was successful, but the alignment issues may require some attention to improve the pilot's performance.
