Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,987 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 2,255 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Cessna 750 Citation X taxied from the parking area to runway 22L at KLFT Lafayette Regional Airport in 5 minutes, covering approximately 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 22L, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 143 kt and became airborne after a takeoff distance of 2,651 ft, representing 35 % of the runway length; ambient temperature was 63 °F with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, a 2 kt cross-wind component and a 1 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced about 1 mile southwest of KLFT, with the jet climbing from 1,018 ft asl to 25,013 ft asl-a gain of 23,995 ft-in 10 minutes while traversing 57 nm.
Level cruise began 2 miles south of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and was maintained for 40 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 333 nm.
Descent was initiated 5 miles east of Valley, Alabama, with a reduction from 25,006 ft asl to 2,249 ft asl, a loss of 22,758 ft in 16 minutes, over a distance of 100 nm.
The final approach to runway 26R at KATL Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was flown from the east on a heading of 270.0°, intercepting the glide path at 4 nm and 1,215 ft agl.
Landing on runway 26R, whose total length is 8,987 ft, occurred with a threshold speed of 113 kt (slightly below target) and a touchdown speed of 108 kt; the aircraft touched down 863 ft beyond the touchdown zone, 10 ft off the centreline, at a vertical speed of minus 176 fpm, and the total landing roll measured 4,658 ft, 52 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was noted to be 31 ft off the centreline, but the aircraft remained under control throughout the deceleration phase.
After exiting the runway, the aircraft taxied back to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 497 nm, required 75 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 250 lb of fuel.
Cessna 750 Citation X on a final approach to runway 26R at KATL Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport maintained a heading of 270.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,215 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits. Local weather was 62 °F with wind 2 kt from 270 °, crosswind 0 kt and headwind 2 kt.
At threshold the height was good and the threshold speed was slightly below target at 113 kt.
Touchdown occurred 863 ft beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 108 kt that was a little fast. The touchdown rate was good at -176 fpm and the touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 10 ft from the centreline. Total landing distance was 4,658 ft, representing 52 % of the runway.
During rollout the aircraft remained slightly misaligned by 31 ft from the centreline.
To refine future landings, aim to achieve the target touchdown speed to keep the touchdown point nearer the aim point and reduce lateral deviation. Maintaining tighter centreline tracking through rollout will further improve alignment.
