Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,045 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,045 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 98 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 25 at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, TKPK. The aircraft, a TBM 930, accelerated down the runway, covering a distance of 451 meters, which accounted for 21% of the runway's length. The liftoff speed was achieved at 100 knots, marking the start of the takeoff phase.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 26°C temperature and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 62°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the tailwind component was 7 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, where the aircraft transitioned from a low altitude of 1,191 feet above sea level to a higher altitude of 2,068 feet above sea level. This climb phase covered a distance of 2 nautical miles and took approximately 1 minute to complete, with an increase in altitude of 878 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south east of Boyd's, Trinity Palmetto Point, Saint Kitts and Nevis. This phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 5 miles south of Basseterre. The descent phase was from an altitude of 1,985 feet above sea level to 708 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,277 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 10 at Vance W. Amory International Airport, TKPN, was made from the west, with a heading of 113.0° at 1 nautical mile and 689 feet above ground level. The landing was executed on runway 10, which had a length of 1,045 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 78 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 97 meters, but the touchdown speed was fast at 75 knots. The touchdown rate was excellent at -82 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those encountered during takeoff, with a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 78°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 5 knots. The total landing distance was 362 meters, which accounted for 35% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was also very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 4 minutes. The total flight distance was 16 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 10 minutes. The aircraft used 25 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 930 aircraft successfully landed at TKPN Vance W. Amory International Airport, achieving a score of 96.1%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 113.0° at 1 nautical mile and 689 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision during the approach, ultimately landing on runway 10.
The landing was executed with a good threshold height, indicating that the aircraft was properly configured for the touchdown. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed, coming in at 78 knots. This may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed for the landing.
The touchdown distance of 97 meters was within acceptable limits, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's descent and maintain a stable approach. However, the touchdown speed of 75 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have resulted in a slightly longer rollout distance. The touchdown rate of -82 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 26°C and a gentle headwind of 5 knots. The crosswind component was minimal, at 1 knot, which made the landing even more manageable. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft coming to a stop within 35% of the runway length. The total landing distance of 362 meters was well within acceptable limits, and the pilot demonstrated excellent control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases.
