Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,516 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 494 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KSAN San Diego International Airport, a process that took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. Departure roll occurred on runway 27, with the aircraft taking off after covering 1,632 meters, which was 78% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 156 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at a direction of 50 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile west of KSAN San Diego International Airport, and climbed from an altitude of 1,056 feet above sea level to 36,254 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,198 feet, in 17 minutes and covering a distance of 99 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 10 miles south east of Malibu, California, and lasted for 12 minutes, covering a distance of 80 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its first descent, starting 9 miles north east of Los Olivos, and descended from 36,299 feet above sea level to 35,823 feet above sea level, a decrease of 476 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 11 miles north east of Los Alamos, and lasted for 11 minutes, covering a distance of 69 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its second descent, starting 4 miles south west of Oak Shores, and descended from 36,318 feet above sea level to 1,325 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,993 feet, in 23 minutes and covering a distance of 126 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 28R at KSFO San Francisco International Airport was made from the south east, with the aircraft heading 298.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,297 feet above ground level. The landing occurred on runway 28R, which had a length of 3,516 meters. The threshold height at 55 feet above ground level was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was good at 136 knots.
The touchdown point was 71 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 128 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -129 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 7 knots at a direction of 280 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 7 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,422 meters, which was 40% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The aircraft then began taxiing to the parking area, a process that took 7 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 394 nautical miles, taking a total of 82 minutes, and the aircraft used 2,886 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 28R at San Francisco International Airport (KSFO) with a score of 99.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 298.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,297 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 128 knots, which was slightly above the target speed.
The touchdown point was located 71 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. However, the touchdown speed and rate were still within acceptable limits. The aircraft's descent rate was smooth at -129 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 280°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft's approach. The runway length at KSFO is 3,516 meters, providing a sufficient margin for the aircraft to land safely.
The total landing distance was 1,422 meters, which accounted for approximately 40% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to land and come to a stop within a reasonable distance, with the runway rollout alignment being perfect. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop safely within the designated runway area.
