Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,643 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 426 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna Skyhawk, then departed from runway 28R at EKSP Skrydstrup Air Base. The takeoff distance was 248 meters, which accounted for 8% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 62 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 17°C, a wind speed of 11 knots at 264°, resulting in a 4-knot crosswind and a 10-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airfield, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead EKSP Skrydstrup Air Base. The climb took 3 minutes to reach an altitude of 1,696 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,377 feet from the initial altitude of 319 feet. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then commenced 2 miles north of Vojens, Denmark, and lasted for 69 minutes, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26R at EKYT Aalborg Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 264.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,404 feet above ground level. The landing on the runway was successful, with a touchdown distance of 424 meters, which was 22% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 51 knots, and the touchdown rate was an excellent -71 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 19°C, a wind speed of 21 knots at 20°, resulting in a 19-knot crosswind and a 9-knot tailwind.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took approximately 6 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 120 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 82 minutes. The aircraft used 31 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna Skyhawk successfully landed at EKYT Aalborg Airport, achieving a score of 92.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 264.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,404 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 26R, which has a length of 2,643 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 51 knots, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance of 424 meters was also considered good. The touchdown rate of -71 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained a stable and accurate approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 19°C and winds of 21 knots at 20°. The crosswind component was 19 knots, while the tailwind component was 9 knots. Despite these challenging conditions, the pilot successfully managed the aircraft, ensuring a safe and controlled landing.
However, there were a few minor issues during the landing. The threshold height at 55 feet agl was slightly above the target, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal approach path. Additionally, the threshold speed was well above the target at 68 knots, suggesting that the pilot may have been slightly too aggressive during the approach. Finally, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 11.8 meters from the centreline, although this was not a significant issue.
Overall, the Cessna Skyhawk's landing at EKYT Aalborg Airport was a success, with the pilot demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft despite challenging weather conditions.
