MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Speed on the slow side
Between four hundred and a thousand feet you're heavy, close to the ground and still carrying flap, and speed is the margin holding all three apart. Slow here doesn't feel like anything — the aeroplane climbs, the nose is up, nothing complains — right up until a turn, a gust or a bank tightens the wing's job and the margin is already gone. The fix is rarely "fly faster", it's lowering the nose a degree and letting the speed build before the next thing you do. Pitch buys altitude, speed buys options, and at this height options are the scarcer of the two.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: speed 31 kt FAST on the reference speed of 119 kt.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,531 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,531 m of the 1,948 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 463 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Stavanger Airport, Sola, the aircraft began its journey on runway 18, taking off with a distance of 751 meters, which accounted for 30% of the available runway length. The liftoff speed of 142 knots was achieved in a relatively short period, despite the presence of a 10-knot crosswind and a 12-knot headwind. The local temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and wind direction of 140 degrees contributed to the aircraft's performance during takeoff.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it traversed a distance of 118 nautical miles, increasing its altitude from 1,054 feet to 43,014 feet in 18 minutes. The enroute level cruise phase commenced 102 miles southwest of Akrehamn, lasting 7 minutes and covering 62 nautical miles. Subsequently, the aircraft began its descent 80 miles east of Peterhead, Scotland, reducing its altitude from 42,906 feet to 1,369 feet in 19 minutes, while covering 109 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 16 at Aberdeen Dyce Airport was executed from the north, with a heading of 158.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,153 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 16 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 462 meters, which was within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown speed of 112 knots was slightly higher than the recommended threshold speed. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, but the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.5 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance of 1,436 meters accounted for 74% of the available runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 4 minutes. The total flight distance of 296 nautical miles was achieved in 56 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 767 kilograms.
The final approach to runway 16 at EGPD Aberdeen Dyce Airport from the north was executed with good quality, with the aircraft established on the desired heading of 158.0° at 4 nm and 1,153 ft above ground level. The threshold height was satisfactory, allowing for a smooth transition to the landing phase. The threshold speed was well-managed at 121 kt, indicating a good control of the aircraft's descent and airspeed.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance was within acceptable limits at 462 m. However, the touchdown speed of 112 kt was slightly above the recommended value, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -306 fpm. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating good control and precision during the landing phase. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 10 °C and a headwind of 26 kt, contributed to a relatively smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 1,436 m was 74% of the runway length, indicating a good control of the aircraft's deceleration and braking. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.5 m from the centreline, which may be attributed to a slight deviation during the final stages of the landing. Overall, the landing was scored 91.1%, reflecting a good performance with some minor areas for improvement.
