Improve the rollout
Ground control varies with speed, full authority at walking pace, progressively reducing as groundspeed rises. The aircraft becomes twitchy at any speed, every small pedal input swings the nose, which can encourage large-amplitude leg inputs that no real aircraft would accept.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 2,252 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,252 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 653 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 777-300ER taxied from the parking area to the departure runway at EGPH Edinburgh Airport in 11 minutes, covering 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 24, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 152 kt and left the ground after a takeoff distance of 1,059 m 45 % of runway; local weather reported a temperature of 14 °C, wind 5 kt at 260 °, crosswind 2 kt and headwind 5 kt.
Climb commenced overhead Ratho Station, with the airplane climbing from 1,141 ft asl to 37,006 ft asl - an increase of 35,865 ft - in 14 minutes while covering 87 nm.
The first level cruise began 2 miles south west of Dalbeattie (Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland) and continued for 78 minutes, during which 642 nm were flown.
Descent started over Obrigheim (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany), descending from 37,009 ft asl to 4,102 ft asl - a decrease of 32,907 ft - in 25 minutes and covering 154 nm.
A second cruise segment was initiated 1 mile south east of Schalkham (Bavaria, Germany) and lasted 5 minutes, covering 17 nm.
The next descent began 1 mile north west of Inning am Holz (Bavaria, Germany), dropping from 4,101 ft asl to 2,768 ft asl - a decrease of 1,333 ft - in 2 minutes and covering 6 nm.
Final approach to runway 26L at EDDM Munich Airport involved a descent from 1,346 ft agl to 93 ft agl in 97 seconds, and the aircraft was scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 26L, which is 3,984 m long, occurred with a threshold height at 74 ft agl above target and a threshold speed of 143 kt; touchdown was 240 m beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 141 kt, a rate of minus 261 fpm, and a lateral offset of 7.1 m from centreline. Local weather at the time was temperature 17 °C, wind 5 kt at 294 °, crosswind 3 kt and headwind 5 kt.
The total landing distance recorded was 2,175 m, 55 % of runway, and the subsequent rollout was misaligned by 20.2 m from centreline.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 7 minutes, covering 2 nm.
Overall, the flight covered a distance of 916 nm, took 145 minutes, and consumed 15,697 kg of fuel.
The aircraft Scottish Aviation Bulldog T1 completed the final approach to runway 05 at EGPE Inverness Airport, descending from 83 ft agl to 34 ft agl in 5 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates.
At threshold the height was good and the threshold speed was good at 65 kt.
Touchdown occurred 52 m beyond the touchdown zone with a touchdown speed of 54 kt, noted as a little fast, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -87 fpm; runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 887 m, representing 49 % of the 1,817 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
Given the high touchdown speed and the point of touchdown beyond the zone, a minor refinement is to aim for the standard aim point about 300 m (1,000 ft) in and reduce speed slightly to match the reference speed, which will improve touchdown placement while maintaining the excellent overall performance reflected by the 98.9 % score.
