Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,799 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,799 m of the 2,370 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 418 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 10 at Princess Juliana International Airport (TNCM) in Saint Martin. The takeoff distance was 1,377 meters, which was 60% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 187 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 31°C temperature and winds of 13 knots at 50°. The crosswind was 7 knots, and the headwind was 11 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile south of Marigot, Saint Martin, and reached an altitude of 35,031 feet above sea level (asl) after climbing 34,010 feet in 16 minutes and covering 100 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles west of Cruz Bay, Saint John Island, and lasted 33 minutes, covering 225 nautical miles. The enroute climb phase resumed 90 miles northeast of Samana, Dominican Republic, and reached an altitude of 36,671 feet asl after climbing 1,250 feet in 2 minutes and covering 12 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 90 miles northeast of Samana and lasted 200 minutes, covering 1,261 nautical miles. The enroute climb phase resumed again, this time 10 miles southwest of LA98 West Bay Seaplane Base, Venice, Louisiana, and reached an altitude of 38,365 feet asl after climbing 1,940 feet in 2 minutes and covering 11 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 11 miles southeast of Grand Isle, Louisiana, and lasted 233 minutes, covering 1,061 nautical miles. The enroute descent phase started 7 miles west of 02AZ Winchester Farm Airstrip, Willcox, Arizona, and descended from 37,680 feet asl to 7,274 feet asl, a decrease of 30,406 feet in 20 minutes and covering 115 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 4 miles southeast of AZ90 Hangar Haciendas Airpark, Laveen, Arizona, and lasted 15 minutes, covering 20 nautical miles. The enroute descent phase started 1 mile west of KGYR Phoenix Goodyear Airport, Goodyear, Arizona, and descended from 6,856 feet asl to 2,395 feet asl, a decrease of 4,461 feet in 4 minutes and covering 16 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 07R at KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was made from the west, heading 90.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,247 feet above ground level (agl). The landing on runway 07R was successful, with a touchdown distance of 415 meters and a touchdown speed of 144 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown rate was firm at -396 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 18°C temperature and winds of 10 knots at 260°. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the tailwind was 10 knots. The total landing distance was 1,727 meters, which was 73% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.2 meters from the centerline.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 2,828 nautical miles,
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, achieving a score of 95.2%. The final approach to runway 07R was initiated from the west, with the aircraft heading 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,247 feet above ground level.
The landing was executed on runway 07R, which has a length of 2,370 meters. The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 146 knots, which may have been due to various factors such as wind resistance or the aircraft's weight.
The touchdown distance was good, measuring 415 meters, which is within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown speed of 144 knots was a little fast, indicating that the aircraft may have been slightly over-controlled during the landing. The touchdown rate was firm, measuring -396 feet per minute, which is within the acceptable range.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 18°C and a wind speed of 10 knots from a direction of 260°. The crosswind component was minimal, measuring 2 knots, while the tailwind component was 10 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,727 meters, which is 73% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.2 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the aircraft's speed or the pilot's control inputs during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 95.2%. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and runway rollout alignment, which may be addressed in future training or operations.
