MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,192 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 293 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Vienna International Airport, the Airbus A320 began its journey with a taxiing period of 14 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles to reach the runway. The departure roll commenced on runway 34, with a takeoff distance of 1,546 meters, accounting for 43% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 148 knots, amidst local weather conditions of 28°C temperature and a wind of 11 knots at 173 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed to cruising altitude, it traversed a distance of 125 nautical miles in 19 minutes, ascending from 1,538 feet to 38,001 feet above sea level. The enroute level cruise phase commenced over Podgora, Slovenia, lasting 205 minutes and covering 1,502 nautical miles. The aircraft then underwent a series of descents and climbs, with notable decreases in altitude, including a 28,314-foot descent from 37,513 feet to 9,198 feet above sea level. The final approach to runway 07 at Tenerife Sur Airport was initiated from the southwest, with a heading of 68.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,257 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 07 was executed with a touchdown distance of 290 meters, accounting for 23% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 122 knots, at 119 knots. The aircraft's touchdown rate was firm at -362 feet per minute. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 3 minutes. The total flight distance of 2,104 nautical miles was achieved in 322 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 9,820 kilograms.
The final approach to runway 07 at GCTS Tenerife Sur Airport from the south west was executed with good quality, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 68.0° at 4 nm and 1,257 ft above ground level. The approach was conducted in a manner that allowed for a good threshold height, which facilitated a smooth transition to the landing phase. The threshold speed was also well managed, with the aircraft touching down at 122 kt, within the acceptable range.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was a little fast at 119 kt, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -362 fpm. The touchdown distance of 290 m was within the acceptable range, indicating a well-executed landing. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 8.5 m, which may have contributed to the slightly faster touchdown speed. The total landing distance of 746 m, accounting for 23% of the runway length, was also within the acceptable range.
During the rollout phase, the aircraft's alignment was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 11.5 m, which may have been a result of the initial touchdown position. Despite this, the overall landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 94.3%. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 24 °C and wind speeds of 17 kt at 110°, did not appear to have a significant impact on the landing.
