Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 305 m and 152 m above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,132 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 325 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by an FFX P180 II aircraft, registered as N9851. The aircraft began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway at LIRN Naples International Airport, a distance of 4 nautical miles covered in 10 minutes.
As the aircraft prepared for departure, it rolled onto runway 24, where it took off with a takeoff distance of 904 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 131 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 37°.
After taking off, the aircraft began its enroute climb, which started overhead Vicaria, Campania, Italy. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 393 meters above sea level to 10,399 meters above sea level, an increase of 10,006.4 meters, in 23 minutes and covering a distance of 56 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 1 mile south of Monte San Giovanni Campano, Lazio, Italy, and lasted for 23 minutes, covering a distance of 131 nautical miles.
As the aircraft continued its journey, it began its enroute descent, which started 1 mile west of Rapolano Terme, Toscana, Italy. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 10,419 meters above sea level to 1,498 meters above sea level, a decrease of 8,920.8 meters, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 77 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which started 1 mile south east of Spilamberto, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The next descent started overhead Castelnuovo Rangone, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,496 meters above sea level to 1,178 meters above sea level, a decrease of 317.6 meters, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which started 1 mile east of Modena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The final descent started overhead LIHR Campo di Volo Club Deltasport Gaggio, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,113 meters above sea level to 434 meters above sea level, a decrease of 679.3 meters, in 4 minutes and covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 12 at LIPE Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, flying from the north west at a heading of 117.0° and at an altitude of 394.0 meters above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The aircraft landed on runway 12, which had a length of 2,132 meters, with a threshold speed of 127 knots and a touchdown speed of 118 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 327 meters, and the touchdown rate was firm at -1.7 meters per second. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.2 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 209°. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 0 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a distance of less than 1 nautical mile covered in 9 minutes.
The aircraft, FFX P180 II with registration N9851, successfully landed at LIPE Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, achieving a high score of 97.2%. The final approach to runway 12 was initiated from the north-west, with a heading of 117.0° at an altitude of 394.0 meters above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The aircraft's approach and landing were executed smoothly, with a good threshold height and a touchdown speed of 118 kt, which was slightly below the threshold speed of 127 kt. The touchdown distance was also satisfactory, measuring 327 meters. The touchdown rate was firm, at -1.7 meters per second, indicating a controlled descent.
However, there was a slight deviation from the centerline, with the runway touchdown position being 6.2 meters off-center. This minor misalignment did not seem to affect the overall performance of the aircraft during the rollout. The runway rollout alignment was reported to be very good, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 11°C and a wind speed of 3 kt from a direction of 209°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component, with the aircraft experiencing a headwind of 0 kt. The total landing distance was 940 meters, which accounted for approximately 44% of the runway length. Overall, the landing was executed safely and efficiently, with the aircraft coming to a stop within a reasonable distance from the runway threshold.
