Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,628 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,628 m of the 2,495 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 414 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A319, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Düsseldorf Airport, EDDL. This process took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 23L, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,497 meters, which was 62% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 153 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 19°C, with a wind speed of 19 knots coming from a direction of 209°. This resulted in a crosswind of 7 knots and a headwind of 18 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead Düsseldorf Airport and ascending from an altitude of 1,139 feet above sea level to 36,725 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,586 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 107 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 1 mile east of Oppenheim Airfield, EDGP, and lasting 69 minutes, covering a distance of 537 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 4 miles southwest of Igrane, Croatia, and descending from 36,268 feet above sea level to 27,988 feet above sea level, a decrease of 8,280 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 39 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 4 miles southeast of Zaton Doli, Croatia, and lasting 2 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 1 mile south of Zaton, Croatia, and descending from 27,284 feet above sea level to 440 feet above sea level, a decrease of 26,844 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 35 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32 at Tivat Airport, LYTV, was made from the southeast, heading 320.0° at 1 nautical mile and 421 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 2,495 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 125 knots, and the touchdown distance was good at 415 meters. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast at 127 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -243 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.6 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 22°C, with a wind speed of 7 knots coming from a direction of 19°. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,545 meters, which was 62% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The aircraft then taxied to the parking area from the runway, taking 2 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 735 nautical miles, taking 129 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,844 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at LYTV Tivat Airport, achieving a high score of 98.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south east, heading 320.0° at 1 nautical mile and 421 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a crucial aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was within the acceptable range at 125 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 127 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly higher touchdown rate. The touchdown rate of -243 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, indicating that the aircraft touched down with a moderate amount of deceleration.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.6 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's alignment during the final approach. Despite this, the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 22°C and a gentle wind of 7 knots at 19°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. The total landing distance of 1,545 meters was 62% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and decision-making skills. However, there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and alignment during the final approach.
