Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.

Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,831 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 172 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was conducted on a Cessna C172 aircraft, departing from runway 24 at 4N1 Greenwood Lake. The aircraft required a takeoff distance of 293 meters, which was 28% of the available runway. The plane reached liftoff speed of 68 knots during the takeoff roll.
As the flight progressed, an enroute level cruise was initiated, lasting less than 1 minute, during which time the aircraft covered less than 1 nautical mile. A subsequent enroute climb was carried out from 1,185 feet above sea level to 3,747 feet above sea level, a total increase of 2,561 feet, which was achieved in 3 minutes and covered 5 nautical miles. The climb was initiated overhead West Milford (New Jersey, United States).
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered another level cruise, this time lasting 16 minutes and covering 16 nautical miles, with the plane flying at an altitude 2 miles northwest of Kinnelon (New Jersey, United States).
As the aircraft continued to its destination, an enroute descent was initiated from 2,523 feet above sea level to 358 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 2,166 feet, which was achieved in 4 minutes and covered 5 nautical miles. This descent was carried out overhead Paramus (New Jersey, United States).
Final approach was conducted to runway 06 at KTEB Teterboro Airport, with the aircraft flying from a heading of 47.0 degrees at an altitude of 331 feet above ground level and a distance of 1 nautical mile from the threshold. The takeoff was completed in a favorable condition with a good threshold height, threshold speed slightly below target at 56 knots, touch-down distance of 168 meters, touch-down speed at 48 knots, which was good, and touch-down rate of -258 feet per minute, which was fair. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The landing was completed with a total landing distance of 357 meters, which accounted for 19% of the available runway, and a perfect runway rollout alignment.
After completing the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking for around 8 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. Throughout the flight, the aircraft used 13 kilograms of fuel and covered a total distance of 27 nautical miles, using 35 minutes to complete the mission.
The Cessna C172 aircraft successfully landed on runway 06 at KTEB Teterboro Airport, with an impressive score of 98.6%. The final approach was executed from the southwest, heading at 47.0° at 1 nautical mile and 331 feet above ground level.
The aircraft's landing performance was notable for its good runway threshold height and a slightly below-target threshold speed of 56 kt. The touchdown distance of 168 meters was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 48 kt was also satisfactory. However, the touchdown rate of -258 fpm was only fair, indicating a somewhat steeper descent than desirable.
Despite this, the aircraft achieved a perfect runway touchdown alignment and a perfect runway rollout alignment, suggesting excellent control and pilot skill throughout the landing process. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 28 °C and a wind of 4 kt at 340°, resulting in a 4 kt crosswind and 2 kt headwind, posed no significant challenges to the landing.
Overall, the landing was considered satisfactory, with the aircraft successfully landing on the runway and achieving a total landing distance of 357 meters, which accounted for only 19% of the runway length. This indicates a relatively short landing distance, and the aircraft's good runway rolling-out alignment further underscores the pilot's skill in handling the aircraft.
The landing on runway 06 at KTEB Teterboro Airport was a testament to the pilot's experience and skill in handling the Cessna C172 aircraft.
