Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,986 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 743 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 09R at EDDV Hannover Airport, with a takeoff distance of 912 meters, which accounted for 39% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 142 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 14 knots at a direction of 160 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead Langenhagen in Lower Saxony, Germany. The climb took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 49 nautical miles, with the aircraft ascending from 1,230 feet above sea level to 23,014 feet above sea level, a total increase of 21,784 feet.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting overhead Jahrstedt in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. This phase lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 23 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its first descent, starting overhead Vinzelberg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The descent took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 44 nautical miles, with the aircraft descending from 22,994 feet above sea level to 12,003 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 10,991 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 3 miles north of Ketzin in Brandenburg, Germany. This phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its second descent, starting 2 miles northeast of Werder in Brandenburg, Germany. The descent took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 32 nautical miles, with the aircraft descending from 11,739 feet above sea level to 5,061 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 6,678 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 2 miles southwest of Beelitz in Brandenburg, Germany. This phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its third descent, starting 3 miles south of EDCS Saarmund Airfield in Nuthetal, Brandenburg, Germany. The descent took 3 minutes and covered a distance of 10 nautical miles, with the aircraft descending from 4,588 feet above sea level to 1,554 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 3,034 feet.
The final approach to runway 06R at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport was made from the southwest, with the aircraft heading at 69.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,390 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 06R, which had a length of 3,986 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 128 knots.
The touchdown point was 318 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 113 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -289 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 0 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 14 knots at a direction of 140 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,261 meters, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 17.9 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to
Aircraft C750 successfully landed on runway 06R at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport, achieving an overall score of 86.5%. The final approach was initiated from the southwest, heading 69.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,390 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft successfully touched down on the runway, with a threshold height that was considered good.
However, there were some areas for improvement during the landing. The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 128 kt, indicating that the pilot may have been able to make some adjustments to achieve a more optimal approach speed. Additionally, the touchdown point was 318 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which may have been due to a slight overcorrection or a delay in the touchdown.
The touchdown speed of 113 kt was also a little fast, which may have contributed to the slightly longer landing distance. The touchdown rate of -289 fpm was considered fair, indicating that the aircraft was able to slow down relatively quickly after touchdown. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, which is a positive aspect of the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 14 kt from a direction of 140°. The crosswind component was 13 kt, while the headwind component was 4 kt. These conditions may have presented some challenges for the pilot, but they were still able to achieve a successful landing.
The total landing distance was 1,261 meters, which is 32% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to make a good approach and touchdown. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 17.9 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's path after touchdown. Overall, the landing was considered successful, but there were some areas for improvement that the pilot may want to work on in the future.
