Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,990 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 316 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Cologne Bonn Airport, taking 11 minutes and covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 31R, with a takeoff distance of 1,502 meters, which was 39% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 168 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Cologne Bonn Airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 5°C temperature and a wind speed of 19 knots at 249 degrees. The crosswind component was 17 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile north of the airport and took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,277 feet above sea level to 13,294 feet above sea level, an increase of 12,017 feet in just 4 minutes, covering a distance of 15 nautical miles.
After reaching the desired cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 12 nautical miles. This phase started 2 miles southeast of Ruppichteroth, a town in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 1 mile south of Berod bei Hoechstenbach, a town in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 13,932 feet above sea level to 1,673 feet above sea level, a decrease of 12,258 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 51 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 25C at Frankfurt Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 250.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,325 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 3,990 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 128 knots.
However, the touchdown point was 171 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was hard at -417 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.7 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 2°C temperature and a wind speed of 21 knots at 200 degrees, with a crosswind component of 16 knots and a headwind component of 14 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,090 meters, which was 27% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centerline. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 3 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 87 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 37 minutes. The aircraft used 1,267 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 25C at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) with a score of 94.9%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,325 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a crucial aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was recorded at 128 knots, which is within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown speed of 130 knots was slightly higher than the recommended speed, indicating that the pilot may have applied a bit too much force during the landing. The touchdown rate of -417 feet per minute (fpm) was also considered hard, which could have put additional stress on the aircraft's landing gear.
The touchdown point was located 171 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The runway touchdown position was also slightly misaligned by 5.7 meters from the centerline, which could have affected the aircraft's stability during the landing roll.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 2°C and a wind speed of 21 knots from a direction of 200°. The crosswind component was 16 knots, while the headwind component was 14 knots. These conditions may have contributed to the slight deviations in the landing roll.
The total landing distance was 1,090 meters, which is approximately 27% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. However, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centerline, which could have affected the aircraft's stability during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, but there were some minor deviations that could be improved upon. The pilot's ability to maintain a good threshold height and touchdown speed was commendable, but the slightly high touchdown speed and hard touchdown rate may require further attention.
