Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,803 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,803 m of the 2,985 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 433 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, then departed from runway 12 at SBSG Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,581 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 157 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 130 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 7 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile northwest of Sao Goncalo do Amarante, Brazil, and ascended from an altitude of 1,279 feet above sea level to 20,854 feet above sea level, an increase of 19,575 feet, in 10 minutes and covering a distance of 49 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 20 miles northwest of Joao Camara, Brazil, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 15 miles west of SNZO Fazenda Bebida Velha Airport Touros, Brazil, and descended from 20,858 feet above sea level to 3,059 feet above sea level, a decrease of 17,799 feet, in 10 minutes and covering a distance of 32 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started again 5 miles south of Poco Branco, Brazil, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent 7 miles south of Taipu, Brazil, and descended from 3,086 feet above sea level to 1,559 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,527 feet, in 3 minutes and covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 12 at SBSG Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 99.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,281 feet above ground level. The aircraft landed on runway 12, which had a length of 2,985 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 152 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 432 meters, and the touchdown speed was 145 knots, which was fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -329 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.2 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at a direction of 130 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,726 meters, which accounted for 58% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The aircraft then taxied to the parking from the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 115 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 37 minutes. The aircraft used 1,457 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at SBSG Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport, achieving a score of 97.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 99.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,281 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 12, which has a length of 2,985 meters.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 152 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 145 knots was slightly faster than expected, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -329 feet per minute (fpm). The touchdown distance of 432 meters was considered good, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.2 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a wind speed of 4 knots at 130°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. The total landing distance of 1,726 meters was 58% of the runway length, which is considered acceptable.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled deceleration after touchdown. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft meeting most of the performance criteria. However, the slightly faster touchdown speed and misaligned touchdown position are areas for improvement.
