Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,439 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,439 m of the 4,104 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 353 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by a Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The journey began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 18 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles (nm). The aircraft then departed from runway 26 at KDEN Denver International Airport, with a takeoff distance of 3,370 meters, which was 92% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 203 knots (kt).
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 9°C, with a wind speed of 8 kt at 170°. The crosswind component was 8 kt, while the tailwind component was 1 kt. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile northwest of KDEN Denver International Airport, and climbed from 6,373 feet above sea level (asl) to 27,490 ft asl, an increase of 21,117 ft in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 84 nm.
The enroute level cruise started 9 miles south of KIBM Kimball Municipal Robert E Arraj Field, and lasted 18 minutes, covering a distance of 542 nm. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, starting 5 miles southwest of 3G2 Grygla Mun-Wilkens Grygla, and climbed from 27,742 ft asl to 29,524 ft asl, an increase of 1,783 ft in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 32 nm.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles south of 87MN Erickson Airport Roosevelt, and lasted 48 minutes, covering a distance of 1,586 nm. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, starting at a latitude of 67.3147622 and longitude of -57.5173498, and climbed from 28,227 ft asl to 30,258 ft asl, an increase of 2,031 ft in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 80 nm.
The enroute level cruise started 16 miles southwest of Attu, and lasted 74 minutes, covering a distance of 1,549 nm. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, starting 33 miles west of Langevag, and climbed from 32,982 ft asl to 33,843 ft asl, an increase of 861 ft in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 53 nm.
The enroute level cruise started overhead ENZV Stavanger Airport, Sola Stavanger, and lasted 61 minutes, covering a distance of 1,795 nm. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, starting 55 miles southwest of Paphos, and climbed from 34,688 ft asl to 36,893 ft asl, an increase of 2,206 ft in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 66 nm.
The enroute level cruise started 97 miles southwest of R084 Cyprus Static Carrier, and lasted 43 minutes, covering a distance of 1,167 nm. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 23 miles northwest of OMAS Das Island Airport, and descended from 38,057 ft asl to 14,958 ft asl, a decrease of 23,099 ft in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 85 nm.
The enroute level cruise started 28 miles northwest of OMAF Futaysi Airport, and lasted 2 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nm. The aircraft then began another enroute descent, starting 17 miles northwest of OMAF Futaysi Airport, and descended from 14,460 ft asl to 9,674 ft asl, a decrease of 4,786 ft in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 26 nm.
The enroute
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at OMAA Zayed International Airport, achieving a score of 95.2%. The final approach to runway 31L was initiated from the south east, with a heading of 308.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,303 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 145 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 144 knots was slightly above the optimal range, indicating a minor deviation from the ideal landing conditions. Furthermore, the touchdown rate was quite hard, registering at -502 feet per minute, which may have caused some discomfort for the passengers.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 7.0 meters, which could have been a result of the pilot's judgment or the aircraft's navigation system. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a gentle wind of 4 knots at 350°. The crosswind and headwind components were minimal, at 3 knots each, which did not significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance of 2,365 meters was within the acceptable range, accounting for 58% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was excellent, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase. Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft coming to a stop within a reasonable distance from the runway threshold.
