Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,796 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 371 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 02 at RPLC Clark International Airport / Clark Air Base. The takeoff distance was 530 meters, which accounted for 17% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 118 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 9 knots at a direction of 70 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 7 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of Mabalacat City in Central Luzon, Philippines. The climb took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 28 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,519 feet above sea level to 22,732 feet above sea level, an increase of 21,214 feet.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 4 miles east of Camiling in Central Luzon, Philippines. This phase lasted for 9 minutes and covered a distance of 64 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting overhead Bacnotan in Ilocos, Philippines. The descent took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 53 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 22,990 feet above sea level to 8,471 feet above sea level, a decrease of 14,519 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 4 miles south east of Magsingal in Ilocos, Philippines. This phase lasted for 28 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 4 miles south east of Magsingal. The descent took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 21 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 8,471 feet above sea level to 2,645 feet above sea level, a decrease of 5,826 feet.
The aircraft then entered a final level cruise phase, starting 1 mile north west of Pinili in Ilocos, Philippines. This phase lasted for 4 minutes and covered a distance of 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 01 at RPLI Laoag International Airport, approaching from the south at a heading of 5.0 degrees and at a distance of 4 nautical miles and 1,247 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 01 at RPLI Laoag International Airport was successful, with a touchdown distance of 370 meters and a touchdown speed of 89 knots. The touchdown rate was excellent at -85 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.5 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at a direction of 20 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,341 meters, which accounted for 48% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 183 nautical miles, taking 45 minutes, and the aircraft used 635 kilograms of fuel.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation aircraft successfully landed at RPLI Laoag International Airport, achieving a high score of 97.5%. The final approach to runway 01 was conducted from the south, with a heading of 5.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,247 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 101 knots, which was slightly below the target threshold speed. However, the touchdown distance of 370 meters was considered good, and the touchdown speed of 89 knots was also within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate of -85 feet per minute was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 4.5 meters, but this did not appear to have any significant impact on the overall landing performance. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 28°C and a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 20°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 6 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,341 meters was 48% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase and was able to bring it to a stop in a safe and controlled manner. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft performing well in a variety of conditions.
