Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,443 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 313 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 114 minutes and covered a distance of 17 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, then departed from runway 27 at EDLV Weeze Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,042 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 157 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 14 knots at 279 degrees.
As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead EDLV Weeze Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,161 feet above sea level to 37,329 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,168 feet in just 18 minutes. This climb phase covered a distance of 192 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase began 2 miles north east of Wiernsheim, Germany, and lasted for 30 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 459 nautical miles.
The enroute descent phase started 29 miles south west of Komiza, Croatia, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 37,649 feet above sea level to 6,016 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,633 feet in 19 minutes. This descent phase covered a distance of 105 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise phase, which started 2 miles south west of Corato, Italy, and lasted for just 2 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The final enroute descent phase began 2 miles north west of LIFE Aviosuperficie Ali sul Castello Corato, Italy, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 6,021 feet above sea level to 1,374 feet above sea level, a decrease of 4,647 feet in 7 minutes. This descent phase covered a distance of 19 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 07 at LIBD Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport, approaching from the south west at a heading of 69.0 degrees. The aircraft was at an altitude of 1,220 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold.
The aircraft landed safely on runway 07 at LIBD Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport, which had a length of 2,443 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 123 knots. The touchdown distance was 301 meters, and the touchdown speed was 117 knots, both of which were good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -245 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 9 knots at 349 degrees. The crosswind was 9 knots, and the headwind was 2 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking from the runway, which took just 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 803 nautical miles, and the total flight time was 86 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 5,244 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at LIBD Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport, showcasing a high level of precision and control. The aircraft approached the runway from the southwest, heading 69.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,220 feet above ground level. This final approach was executed with a high degree of accuracy, as evident from the subsequent landing performance.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft demonstrated a good threshold height, indicating that the pilots maintained a safe distance from the runway threshold. The threshold speed of 123 knots was also within the acceptable range, signifying that the pilots had properly managed the aircraft's descent and speed. The touchdown distance of 301 meters was also satisfactory, indicating that the pilots had effectively controlled the aircraft's descent and landing.
The touchdown speed of 117 knots was within the acceptable range, further emphasizing the pilots' skill and control during the landing. However, the touchdown rate of -245 feet per minute was only fair, suggesting that the pilots could have managed the aircraft's descent more efficiently. Nevertheless, this did not significantly impact the overall landing performance.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilots had maintained a stable and controlled approach. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 24°C and a wind speed of 9 knots at 349°, presented a moderate headwind component of 2 knots and a crosswind component of 9 knots. Despite these conditions, the pilots successfully managed the aircraft's approach and landing.
The total landing distance of 923 meters, which accounted for 38% of the runway length, was within the acceptable range. This indicates that the pilots had effectively controlled the aircraft's descent and landing, minimizing the use of runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilots' skill and control during the landing roll.
Overall, the Airbus A320's landing at LIBD Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport was a success, with the pilots demonstrating a high level of precision and control throughout the approach and landing. While there were some minor areas for improvement, the overall performance was satisfactory, and the landing was executed with a high degree of accuracy and safety.
