A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,734 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,734 m of the 3,189 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 247 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 7 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A321 then departed from runway 24 at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, with a takeoff distance of 1,128 meters, which was 35% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 152 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 13°C, with a wind speed of 28 knots coming from a direction of 279°. This resulted in a crosswind of 19 knots and a headwind of 21 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile northwest of Aalsmeerderbrug in the province of Noord-Holland, The Netherlands. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,020 feet above sea level to 21,676 feet above sea level, an increase of 20,655 feet, in just 10 minutes and covering a distance of 55 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started overhead Baak in the province of Gelderland, The Netherlands, and lasted for 9 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 62 nautical miles. The enroute descent began overhead Lotte in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 21,694 feet above sea level to 1,455 feet above sea level, a decrease of 20,238 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 70 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27R at EDDV Hannover Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 273.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,273 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 27R was successful, with a touchdown distance of 247 meters, which was good. However, the touchdown speed of 134 knots was slightly above the target speed, and the touchdown rate of -299 feet per minute was fair. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.8 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 19 knots coming from a direction of 230°. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 14 knots. The total landing distance was 1,646 meters, which was 52% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.2 meters from the centerline.
The flight then ended with the aircraft taxiing to the parking area from the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 196 nautical miles, and the flight took 50 minutes to complete. The aircraft used 2,368 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at EDDV Hannover Airport, achieving a score of 96.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 273.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,273 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 27R, which has a length of 3,189 meters.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots. The touchdown distance was within acceptable limits at 247 meters. However, the touchdown speed of 134 knots was a little fast, and the touchdown rate of -299 feet per minute (fpm) was fair. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 6.8 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 19 knots from 230°. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 14 knots. The total landing distance was 1,646 meters, which is 52% of the runway length.
During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 9.2 meters. Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal performance.
