Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,900 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,900 m of the 2,512 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 281 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 26 at EPMO Modlin Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,442 meters, which accounted for 58% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 159 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 3 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 1 knot at 63 degrees. The crosswind was negligible, but there was a slight tailwind of 1 knot. The enroute climb began overhead Zakroczym in the Masovian Voivodeship, Poland, where the aircraft ascended from 1,387 feet above sea level to 32,546 feet above sea level, an increase of 31,160 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 92 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 1 mile south west of Kijewo Krolewskie in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, and lasted for 46 minutes, covering a distance of 349 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 1 mile south of Dorentrup in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, where it descended from 33,284 feet above sea level to 1,352 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,932 feet in 27 minutes, covering a distance of 136 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 21 at EHEH Eindhoven Airport was made from the north east, heading 215.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,251 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 21 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 281 meters, which was good. However, the touchdown speed was slightly above target at 153 knots, and the touchdown rate was hard at -468 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at Eindhoven Airport were a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 11 knots at 180 degrees. The crosswind was 6 knots, and the headwind was 9 knots. The total landing distance was 1,822 meters, which accounted for 73% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. After landing, the aircraft took 8 minutes to taxi to the parking, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 587 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 106 minutes. The aircraft used 3,905 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at Eindhoven Airport, achieving a score of 95.8%. The final approach to runway 21 was initiated from the north-east, heading 215.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,251 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 153 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown distance of 281 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate of -468 feet per minute (fpm) was deemed hard, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight jolt upon touchdown.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 4°C, with a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 180°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 9 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,822 meters was 73% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft maintained a stable and controlled alignment with the runway centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 95.8%. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and rate, which may be addressed in future training exercises to improve the pilot's performance.
