MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,295 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 657 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-900 began with a smooth taxi from the parking area to the runway at Miami International Airport. The taxiing process took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll from runway 08R was efficient, with the takeoff distance being 1,646 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was recorded at 169 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was sunny with a temperature of 30°C. The wind conditions were reported as 23 knots at 49°, resulting in a crosswind of 14 knots and a headwind of 18 knots.
Once airborne, the enroute climb commenced 1 mile southwest of Brownsville, Florida. The aircraft climbed from 1,020 feet above sea level to 36,271 feet above sea level, covering an altitude increase of 35,251 feet in 27 minutes and spanning a distance of 194 nautical miles. The subsequent enroute level cruise phase started 10 miles southwest of Norman's Cay in the Bahamas and lasted for 97 minutes, covering a distance of 750 nm.
As the aircraft began its enroute descent, 18 miles north of Cyril E King airport in Saint Thomas Island, the descent from 36,327 feet to 1,805 feet was executed in 25 minutes. The descent involved a decrease in altitude of 34,522 feet and covered a distance of 113 nautical miles. The landing was smooth on runway 10 at Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten, with a runway length of 2,295 meters. The aircraft was at a height of 53 feet above ground level at the threshold, with a speed of 142 knots. The touchdown occurred 657 meters from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 136 knots and a vertical speed indicator reading of -201 feet per minute. The local weather during landing was warm, with a temperature of 32°C. The wind was reported as 13 knots at 60°, resulting in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 12 knots. The total landing distance was 1,463 meters, which accounted for 64% of the runway length.
Finally, after landing, the taxiing from the runway to the parking area was swift, taking less than 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance for this journey was 1,066 nm, with a total duration of 175 minutes. The aircraft utilized 7,950 kilograms of fuel for the entire flight, ensuring a safe and efficient journey for all passengers on board.
