Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,638 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,638 m of the 3,191 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 417 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Boeing 777-300 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Madeira International Airport Cristiano Ronaldo, taking approximately 4 minutes to cover a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 05, with a takeoff distance of 833 meters, which was 34% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 164 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 17°C and wind speeds of 18 knots at 359°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 13 knots. The enroute climb started shortly after takeoff, with the aircraft ascending from 1,028 feet above sea level to 37,771 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,744 feet in 15 minutes, covering a distance of 97 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 69 miles northeast of Porto Santo Airport Vila Baleira, Madeira, Portugal, and lasted for 159 minutes, covering a distance of 1,286 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent, which began 1 mile east of Faumont, Hauts-de-France, France. The descent from 36,726 feet above sea level to 1,266 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,460 feet in 23 minutes, covered a distance of 121 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 06 at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was made from the southwest, heading 58.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,262 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 06 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 418 meters, which was good. However, the touchdown speed of 139 knots was slightly above the target speed, and the touchdown rate of -175 feet per minute was good. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol were a temperature of 13°C and wind speeds of 13 knots at 110°. The crosswind and headwind components were 10 and 8 knots, respectively. The total landing distance was 1,553 meters, which was 49% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took approximately 1 minute, covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 1,513 nautical miles, taking a total of 204 minutes, and the aircraft used 22,833 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, achieving a score of 99.8%. The final approach to runway 06 was conducted from the south-west, with a heading of 58.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a slightly above-target threshold speed of 143 knots. The touchdown distance was good, measuring 418 meters, and the touchdown speed was 139 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate of -175 feet per minute was considered good. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 3.1 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 13°C, with a wind speed of 13 knots from a direction of 110°. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 8 knots. Despite these conditions, the aircraft performed well, with a total landing distance of 1,553 meters, which accounted for 49% of the runway length.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, allowing the aircraft to come to a stop without any issues. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft performing well in the given weather conditions.
