Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 10,011 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 2,172 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the PA28 Warrior II from taxiing to takeoff at KAPA Centennial Airport was smooth and efficient. The taxi from parking to the runway took 6 minutes and covered 2 nm. The departure roll on runway 35R was quick, with a takeoff distance of 306 ft (3% of the runway) and a liftoff speed of 51 kn. The local weather at the time of departure was 74 °F with a wind of 14 kn at 40 °, creating a 9 kn crosswind and a 10 kn headwind.
The aircraft made a left-hand pattern entry from runway 35R at KAPA Centennial, covering a distance of less than 1 nm in 28 seconds. The left-hand pattern crosswind leg was also less than 1 nm and took 29 seconds to complete. The pattern downwind turn covered 1 nm with an angle to the runway of 94.0 °, while the downwind leg covered 2 nm in 69 seconds. The pattern base leg turn covered 1 nm with an angle to the runway of 22.4 °.
The landing on runway 35R at KAPA Centennial Airport was successful, with a runway length of 10,011 ft. The aircraft approached the runway at a height of 77 ft above ground level and a speed of 73 kn. The touchdown occurred 2,086 ft from the threshold at a speed of 61 kn, with a vertical speed indicator reading of -185 ft/min. The local weather at the time of landing was 71 °F with a wind of 4 kn at 95 °, resulting in a 4 kn crosswind and a 1 kn tailwind.
Overall, the total flight distance was 8 nm and took 9 minutes, using 4 lbs of fuel. The flight demonstrated good proficiency in handling the aircraft during various phases of flight, from takeoff to landing.
