Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,039 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 267 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A319, then departed from runway 36L at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (LEMD). The takeoff distance was 2,394 meters, which accounted for 71% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 155 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 18°C, with a wind speed of 9 knots blowing from a direction of 150°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a tailwind of 8 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles south east of San Sebastian de los Reyes, and climbed from an altitude of 3,074 feet above sea level to 31,166 feet above sea level, an increase of 28,092 feet, in 14 minutes and covering a distance of 86 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 4 miles south east of Los Rabanos, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its first descent, starting 8 miles north east of Garray, and descended from 31,156 feet above sea level to 15,149 feet above sea level, a decrease of 16,006 feet, in 12 minutes and covering a distance of 68 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 5 miles north of Oltza, and lasted for 164 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. This was followed by another descent, starting 5 miles north of Oltza, and descended from 15,149 feet above sea level to 1,502 feet above sea level, a decrease of 13,647 feet, in 14 minutes and covering a distance of 35 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne Airport (LFBZ) was made from the east, heading 269.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,258 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 27, which had a length of 2,039 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 130 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 267 meters, but the touchdown speed of 124 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was heavy at -639 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots blowing from a direction of 250°. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 925 meters, which accounted for 45% of the runway. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centreline.
The final taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 209 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 56 minutes. The aircraft used 2,057 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 aircraft successfully landed at LFBZ Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne Airport, achieving a score of 93.6%. The final approach to runway 27 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 269.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,258 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 130 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 124 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have contributed to a heavy touchdown rate of -639 feet per minute. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained a stable and controlled approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7°C and a light wind of 3 knots from a direction of 250°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots, which likely aided the aircraft's approach and landing.
The total landing distance of 925 meters was within 45% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.7 meters from the centerline, suggesting that the pilot may have experienced some difficulty in maintaining a straight course during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop within a reasonable distance. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and rollout alignment, which may be addressed in future training or operations to further improve the pilot's performance.
