MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,544 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 646 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at SAVC General E. Mosconi Airport, taking approximately 5 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Beechcraft Duke, then departed from runway 07, with a takeoff distance of 495 meters, which was 18% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 95 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 13°C temperature and a wind of 7 knots at 341°. The crosswind was 7 knots, and the tailwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile east of the airport and continued for 13 minutes, covering 29 nautical miles, as the aircraft ascended from 1,111 feet above sea level to 18,687 feet above sea level, an increase of 17,576 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 28 miles north of the airport and lasting 34 minutes, covering 105 nautical miles. The enroute descent then began 32 miles southeast of SAPQ Dique Florentino Ameghino Airport, where the aircraft descended from 18,442 feet above sea level to 2,424 feet above sea level, a decrease of 16,018 feet, in 13 minutes, covering 39 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 7 miles southeast of Dolavon and lasting 16 minutes, covering 11 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 1 mile northeast of Gaiman, where the aircraft descended from 2,441 feet above sea level to 1,177 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,263 feet, in 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 07 at SAVT Almirante Marco Andres Zar Airport was made from the southwest, heading 67.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,057 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown point 208 meters beyond the touchdown zone, at a speed of 74 knots, and a touchdown rate of -173 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 10.6 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 13°C temperature and a wind of 21 knots at 360°, with a crosswind of 20 knots and a headwind of 8 knots. The total landing distance was 896 meters, which was 35% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 10.0 meters from the centerline.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking, taking approximately 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 195 nautical miles, taking 82 minutes, and the aircraft used 187 kilograms of fuel.
The Beechcraft Duke aircraft successfully landed at SAVT Almirante Marco Andres Zar Airport, achieving an overall score of 87.8%. The final approach to runway 07 was conducted from the southwest, with a heading of 67.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,057 feet above ground level.
The pilot executed a good threshold height and speed, touching down at 92 knots. The touchdown point was 208 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 74 knots was also within acceptable limits, and the touchdown rate of -173 feet per minute was satisfactory.
However, there were some minor issues with the landing. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 10.6 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's alignment during the approach. Additionally, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 10.0 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 13°C and a wind speed of 21 knots from a direction of 360°. This resulted in a crosswind of 20 knots and a headwind of 8 knots, which the pilot successfully managed during the landing.
Overall, the Beechcraft Duke aircraft performed well during the landing, with the pilot demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft. However, there is room for improvement in terms of alignment and alignment during the rollout phase.
