Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,145 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,145 m of the 3,671 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 649 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 25 at the Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport, with a takeoff distance of 568 meters, which accounted for 18% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 156 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and winds blowing at 13 knots from a direction of 120 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 knots and a tailwind of 8 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile southwest of the Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport in San Salvador. The climb took 26 minutes and covered a distance of 160 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,099 feet above sea level to 39,442 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 7 miles southwest of Tela in Honduras. This phase of the flight lasted for 113 minutes and covered a distance of 791 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 3 miles north of the FL01 level at the Crews Homestead Ranch Airport in Avon Park, Florida. The descent took 19 minutes and covered a distance of 61 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 38,663 feet to 3,010 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which started 1 mile east of Fern Park in Florida and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 18R at the Orlando International Airport was made from the north, with the aircraft heading at 179.0 degrees and at an altitude of 1,216 feet above ground level. The landing was made on the runway, which had a length of 3,671 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 130 knots.
The touchdown point was 203 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 120 knots, which was considered good. The touchdown rate was also good at -195 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 9.4 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those at the time of departure, with a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and winds blowing at 13 knots from a direction of 120 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 7 knots.
The total landing distance was 2,033 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centerline by 8.5 meters. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, a process that took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The total flight distance was 1,032 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 187 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 6,675 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at KMCO Orlando International Airport, achieving a score of 94.1%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the north, heading 179.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,216 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 18R, which has a length of 3,671 meters.
The landing was executed well, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 130 knots. The touchdown point was 203 meters beyond the touchdown zone, but the touchdown speed of 120 knots was within the acceptable range. The touchdown rate of -195 feet per minute (fpm) was also good, indicating a controlled descent.
However, there were some minor issues with the landing. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.4 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's alignment during the final approach. Additionally, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.5 meters from the centerline, which may have been caused by the aircraft's wheels not being perfectly aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a wind speed of 13 knots at 120°. The crosswind component was 11 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots. The total landing distance was 2,033 meters, which is 55% of the runway length. Overall, the landing was successful, but there is room for improvement in terms of alignment and alignment during the rollout phase.
